Abyssal Amethyst Armor

Quickstart

1. Gather amethyst shards and obsidian.
2. Use a crafting table to make the four armor pieces.
3. Equip each piece in its matching armor slot:
   • Helmet in the head slot
   • Chestplate in the chest slot
   • Leggings in the legs slot
   • Boots in the feet slot
4. Start by testing the boots from a height, the helmet underwater, and the complete set near a safe explosion test area.
5. Wearing any Abyssal Amethyst piece protects against fall and explosion damage. Wearing all four pieces also grants additional protection.

You can also find all four pieces in the Creative inventory under the armor equipment groups.

Overview

Abyssal Amethyst Armor is a four-piece armor set made from amethyst shards and obsidian. It provides strong armor protection and special defenses against:

• Falling
• Block-caused explosions
• Entity-caused explosions
• Underwater suffocation
• Slow, dangerous descents

The helmet grants Water Breathing, the boots grant Slow Falling, and the complete set grants Resistance.

What It Adds

Each piece:

• Has 350 durability
• Stacks only up to 1
• Can be enchanted as armor
• Can be repaired with sticks

How To Use

Helmet

Equip the Abyssal Amethyst Armor Helmet to receive Water Breathing while it is worn. Use it for underwater exploration, ocean monuments, and extended dives without air pockets.

Boots

Equip the Abyssal Amethyst Armor Boots to receive Slow Falling. They are useful when crossing cliffs, exploring tall structures, or reducing the danger of accidental falls.

Fall and Explosion Protection

Wearing at least one Abyssal Amethyst armor piece protects you from:

• Fall damage
• Block explosions, such as beds or TNT
• Entity explosions, such as creepers

The equipped piece still functions as armor and can lose durability during use.

Complete Set Bonus

Wear the helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots together to receive Resistance. The bonus requires all four Abyssal Amethyst pieces to be equipped at the same time.

Crafting And Obtaining

All pieces are crafted at a crafting table. Amethyst shards and obsidian are required for the helmet, chestplate, and boots. The leggings require amethyst shards only.

Abyssal Amethyst Armor Helmet

The helmet requires 2 obsidian and 3 amethyst shards.

Abyssal Amethyst Armor Chestplate

The chestplate requires 4 obsidian and 4 amethyst shards.

Abyssal Amethyst Armor Leggings

The leggings require 7 amethyst shards.

Abyssal Amethyst Armor Boots

The boots require 2 obsidian and 2 amethyst shards.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Water Breathing: Active while the Abyssal Amethyst helmet is equipped.
• Slow Falling: Active while the Abyssal Amethyst boots are equipped.
• Fall protection: Any equipped Abyssal Amethyst piece protects against fall damage.
• Explosion protection: Any equipped piece protects against block and entity explosions.
• Resistance: Wearing the full four-piece set grants Resistance.
• Durability: Every piece has 350 durability and can be repaired with sticks.

Progression And Strategy

Craft the leggings first if amethyst is easier to obtain than obsidian. Add the boots when exploring mountains, ravines, or tall structures, then craft the helmet for long underwater expeditions.

For the strongest overall protection, complete the entire set. The helmet and boots provide the most noticeable exploration benefits, while the chestplate and leggings contribute substantial armor protection and unlock the full-set Resistance bonus.
