Zephyr's Swift Edge

Quickstart

1. Craft Zephyr's Swift Edge at a crafting table (recipe below) — the recipe is unlocked automatically when you join a world.
2. Hold the sword in your main hand. You immediately gain Speed II and Jump Boost I passively.
3. Start attacking enemies — every 3rd consecutive hit on the same target triggers a wind burst for 8 bonus damage.
4. Try your first active ability: Sneak + Right-click to dash 12 blocks forward through enemies.

Overview

Zephyr's Swift Edge is a Netherite-tier rapier built around aggressive, high-mobility combat. It rewards consecutive hits with escalating wind damage, and its three independent active abilities let you dash, sidestep, and dominate the battlefield without waiting on a shared cooldown. The sword sits in the Combat creative tab.

Abilities And Mechanics

Passive: Wind Marks

Every time you strike the same target consecutively, a Wind Mark stacks on them. On the 3rd consecutive hit, the marks detonate in a wind burst that deals 8 bonus damage on top of your normal attack. Switching targets resets the mark count on your previous target, so stay focused on one enemy to chain bursts.

Active Ability 1 — Aero Burst

Input: Sneak + Right-click
Cooldown: 8 seconds

You dash 12 blocks forward, dealing 10 damage to every enemy you pass through and stunning them for 1 second. Use this to close gaps, punch through groups, or escape tight situations by dashing through a mob and turning around.

Active Ability 2 — Cyclone Feint

Input: Right-click (while not sneaking or sprinting)
Cooldown: 15 seconds

You sidestep 2 blocks laterally, instantly cleansing any crowd-control effects on you, and your next melee hit deals double damage. Use this to dodge an incoming attack, remove a debuff, and immediately punish the attacker with an empowered strike.

Active Ability 3 — Gale Force Domain

Input: Sprint + Right-click
Cooldown: 55 seconds

For 6 seconds, you enter a heightened state:

• Speed V (extreme movement speed)
• High damage resistance
• Every melee hit teleports you directly behind your target

This is your ultimate ability — save it for tough encounters, boss fights, or large groups of enemies where constant repositioning behind targets will keep you out of harm's way.

Progression And Strategy

• Cooldowns are fully independent. Using Gale Force Domain does not prevent you from using Aero Burst or Cyclone Feint, so chain all three abilities freely during a fight.
• Build Wind Marks before bursting. Land two quick hits on a target, then use Cyclone Feint — the doubled third hit will also trigger the Wind Mark burst, stacking both bonuses into a single strike.
• Gale Force Domain + Wind Marks is the highest burst window: Speed V lets you chain hits rapidly, and each teleport behind the target repositions you for uninterrupted combos.
• The 8-second Aero Burst cooldown is short enough to use in nearly every engagement. Lead with it to deal opener damage, then follow up with melee combos.
• The passive Speed II and Jump Boost I are active as long as the sword is in your hand — swap to it even when not fighting for quick traversal.
