Quickstart

1. Gather the crafting ingredients listed below — this is a late-game recipe requiring rare materials in bulk.
2. Open a 3×3 crafting table and arrange the items exactly as shown:

1. Take the Worldbreaker from the output slot. It automatically becomes unbreakable and gains Wind Burst III.
2. Find a tall drop (30+ blocks), fall toward an enemy, and swing just before impact to trigger the shockwave.

Overview

The Worldbreaker is an Epic-rarity, unbreakable mace built around devastating smash attacks. It amplifies the mace's natural fall-damage mechanic to extreme levels and adds a unique shockwave ability that punishes groups of enemies. Once crafted, it never needs repairing and always carries Wind Burst III — no further setup required.

What It Adds

The Worldbreaker appears in the Combat creative tab and functions as a mace for all purposes — it accepts all mace enchantments and counts as a weapon.

Abilities And Mechanics

Enhanced Smash Damage

The Worldbreaker deals three times the normal fall-damage bonus that a standard mace provides. The higher you fall before connecting, the more bonus damage is added to the hit.

Shockwave

When you fall more than 30 blocks and strike an enemy:

• A 12-block radius shockwave erupts from the point of impact.
• All nearby mobs are hurled away with strong knockback (strength 3.5).
• Shields are disabled on affected targets.
• Up to 40 bonus damage is dealt, scaled by each target's distance from the impact point (closer = more damage).
• A thunderous custom sound and particle burst accompany the blast.
• The shockwave has a 10-second cooldown (200 ticks) before it can trigger again.

Wind Burst III (Built-In)

The Worldbreaker always carries Wind Burst III. This enchantment launches you upward after a smash attack, letting you chain aerial strikes or reposition quickly. You cannot accidentally remove this enchantment — the weapon reapplies it automatically.

Unbreakable

The weapon cannot take durability damage under any circumstances. It is permanently unbreakable and resets its damage value automatically.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe unlocks as soon as you join a world. All ingredients must be placed in exact quantities in the 3×3 grid:

Note that most slots require stacks of items, not single pieces — the crafting grid will consume the full required quantity from each slot when you take the result.

Progression And Strategy

Acquiring the Worldbreaker is itself a late-game milestone: you need two Maces (requiring Heavy Cores from vault trials), a Nether Star (Wither boss), an Elytra (End Ship), and massive quantities of End Crystals and Respawn Anchors. Plan to clear the End and farm extensively before attempting the craft.

In combat, the weapon rewards vertical positioning:

• Use an Elytra or high terrain to drop 30+ blocks onto enemies and trigger the shockwave for maximum area damage.
• After each smash, Wind Burst III launches you back into the air — immediately glide or climb to set up the next drop.
• The shockwave's damage scales with proximity, so landing in a tight mob cluster maximizes total damage output.
• The 10-second shockwave cooldown encourages mixing in normal smash attacks (which still deal triple fall-damage bonus) between shockwave strikes.
• Shield-disabling makes the Worldbreaker especially effective against shielded players or vindicators in group fights.
