Worldbreaker Cannon

Quickstart

1. At a crafting table, make a Worldbreaker Cannon and some Worldbreaker Cannon Magazines using the recipes below.
2. Hold the cannon in your main hand and keep magazine ammunition in your inventory or offhand.
3. Aim at a block within about 48 blocks and use the cannon. This starts a large crater around the targeted block and fires an instant beam.
4. Watch the action bar for crater progress and completion. The terrain change is extensive, so try it somewhere you are willing to reshape.

Overview

The Worldbreaker Cannon is a destructive terrain-clearing weapon. Its use starts a roughly 100-block-diameter circular excavation, clearing non-bedrock blocks through the build height. It also fires a direct beam that can damage a target in your line of sight.

What It Adds

• Worldbreaker Cannon: A one-use-per-press weapon that starts the excavation and fires a beam.
• Worldbreaker Cannon Magazine: Ammunition for the cannon; each crafted magazine recipe yields 16.

How To Use

Aim the cannon at a block and use it to set the crater’s center. The target block must be within about 48 blocks. The excavation continues after it starts; the action bar displays progress and then reports completion.

The cannon’s beam travels toward your aim and can hit a living target for 8 damage, up to 48 blocks away. Blocks in the way stop the beam.

Abilities And Mechanics

The crater clears a circular area about 100 blocks across, from the top to the bottom of the build height. Bedrock blocks are left intact; the cannon does not break bedrock. Because the excavation affects a large vertical area, use it away from builds and terrain you want to preserve.

Only one crater can run at a time. Wait for the completion message before starting another.

Progression And Strategy

Make extra magazines before using the cannon, and test it in a remote area first. Aim carefully: the block you target determines the crater’s center, and the excavation can reshape terrain across the full height of the area.
