Quickstart

1. Craft the Wooden Warpick using the recipe below (or check your recipe book — the recipe unlocks automatically as soon as you join the world).
2. Hold it in your hand like any pickaxe.
3. Use it to mine stone and other pickaxe-mineable blocks as normal.
4. Swing it at a mob or another player to unleash a shocking 31 damage hit — far beyond what a wooden tool should do.

Overview

The Wooden Warpick looks like an ordinary wooden pickaxe, but it's secretly one of the hardest-hitting weapons around. It mines exactly like a normal wooden pickaxe, so it's not an upgrade for gathering — its real power shows up in combat, where a single swing can devastate almost anything in your way.

Only one Wooden Warpick can be carried in a stack at a time, so keep that in mind if you're stocking up.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Mining: Behaves exactly like a vanilla wooden pickaxe — usable on stone and other pickaxe-appropriate blocks, with wooden-tier mining speed and durability.
• Combat: Deals a massive 31 points of attack damage per hit, dramatically outclassing every normal melee weapon in the game.
• Attack Speed: Swings noticeably slower than typical weapons, so timing your hits matters — you won't be spamming attacks, but each connecting blow counts.

Progression And Strategy

Because it costs so little to make, the Wooden Warpick is a fantastic early-game combat option — craft one almost immediately and you'll be able to punch far above your weight against mobs and other threats. Just remember its slow swing speed means missed hits leave you vulnerable, so use it deliberately rather than button-mashing. Keep spare planks and sticks on hand to craft replacements, since it still wears down with wooden-tier durability.
