Quickstart

1. Craft the Winter's Bite Cutlass using the recipe below.
2. Equip it in your mainhand.

Winter's Bite is a legendary cutlass forged from ice and fire. It combines brutal melee damage with powerful cold-based abilities that freeze enemies in place, knock them back with icy shockwaves, and reward its wielder with resistance to fire. How To Use

• Equip and swing: Simply hold the cutlass and attack. Each hit deals substantial damage and can build stacking "frostbite" effects on enemies, eventually bursting into an area freeze around your target.
• Frost Lunge: Landing consecutive hits triggers a lunging strike, launching you toward the enemy and unleashing a freezing shockwave that damages and freezes everything nearby.
• Subzero: An area ability that flash-freezes a large radius around you, locking nearby enemies in ice and giving your allies a chance to convert water into ice (or refill water buckets) while it's active. This has a cooldown, so use it strategically.
• Ice Age: A massive, wide-radius freeze that blankets an enormous area, freezing everything caught within it for a long duration. This has the longest cooldown of the sword's abilities — save it for critical moments against groups of enemies.
• Engagement tracking: The sword tracks how recently you've been fighting, which influences frostbite stacking and ability behavior — staying in constant combat builds momentum for stronger effects.
• Fire Resistance: Simply wielding the cutlass grants immunity to fire damage, letting you fight fearlessly near lava, fire, or fire-based enemies.

The sword has limited durability but can be repaired using netherite ingots or blue ice, restoring a portion of its maximum durability each time.

Progression And Strategy
