Description
Meet its gaze, and the unkillable Weeping Stalker will hunt you through walls.
Mod Wiki
Weeping Face Stalker
Quickstart
- In Creative mode, find the Weeping Face Stalker spawn egg in the Spawn Eggs tab and use it on a block. With commands enabled, you can also use
/summon weeping-face-stalker-r2dzwhkg:weeping_face_stalker_r2dzwhkg. - To trigger the hunt, switch to Survival or Adventure and look straight at its face from within about 32 blocks, with a clear line of sight. Creative and Spectator players do not trigger it.
- Once it has noticed you, turning away or hiding behind a wall won’t stop the hunt. Keep your distance: it can break through obstacles, and its close-range attack deals overwhelming damage.
Overview
The Weeping Face Stalker is a hostile mob built around one rule: don’t meet its gaze. It may wander or pause while idle, but looking directly at its face can make it choose you as its target. After that, it pursues you even when you can’t see it.
What It Adds
- One hostile mob, with a spawn egg.
- Natural spawning is enabled in all biomes, subject to Minecraft’s normal spawn conditions. Additional natural spawns are blocked while another stalker is present across loaded dimensions.
How To Use
There’s no special item or button to activate the stalker. Use its spawn egg to place one, then approach with care. Right-clicking the mob has no special effect.
For a controlled test, spawn it in an open area and face it from a safe distance in Survival or Adventure. The gaze check requires both a clear line of sight and looking toward its face.
Crafting And Obtaining
There is no crafting recipe for the spawn egg. Find it in the Creative Spawn Eggs tab, use the summon command above, or encounter the stalker through natural spawning.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Gaze-triggered hunt: A living player who isn’t in Creative or Spectator can trigger the hunt by looking directly at the stalker’s face from within about 32 blocks with clear sight.
- Persistent pursuit: Once it has selected a player, looking away or putting a wall between you does not end the hunt.
- Wall-breaking: When its target is out of sight, the stalker clears blocks in its path. Don’t count on walls—or even normally indestructible barriers—to protect you.
- Lethal attack: At close range and with a clear line of sight, it performs a powerful melee attack.
- Invulnerability: The stalker cannot be killed through ordinary attacks.
Progression And Strategy
Avoid staring at it if you meet one unexpectedly. If you want to test the hunt, spawn it somewhere you can afford to have blocks cleared and leave yourself room to move. Once it has chosen you, hiding behind terrain is not a reliable escape.
