Web Slinger Swinging

Quickstart

Craft the Web Slinger Swinging, then hold it in either hand and use it while aiming at a block or eligible non-player entity within about 32 blocks. Keep holding use to maintain the tether; release to detach.

The recipe is unlocked automatically for players. Craft one:

Try attaching to a high block and swinging, then hold Sneak while tethered to reel yourself toward the anchor. If you attach to an entity, holding use pulls it toward you; holding Sneak instead pulls you toward it.

Overview

The Web Slinger Swinging is a single-stack grappling item for traversing the world and pulling nearby entities. A visible particle line marks an active tether.

How To Use

• Aim at a block and hold use: Attach a tether and swing. The rope limits how far you can move from the anchor while preserving sideways momentum.
• Sneak while tethered to a block: Reel yourself toward the anchor. The rope gradually shortens as you reel.
• Aim at an eligible non-player entity and hold use: Pull the target toward you.
• Sneak while tethered to an entity: Pull yourself toward the target.
• Release use: Detach and clear the tether.

Aim carefully: the slinger attaches to the entity in your line of sight when it is nearer than the block behind it. If it does not attach, try aiming directly at a closer target.
