Vulcanite Flameforge

Quickstart

1. Craft Vulcanite Ingots at a crafting table using 1 Diamond + 1 Netherite Scrap + 1 Blaze Powder + 1 Magma Cream (yields 2 ingots). These are your gateway material.
2. Craft Vulcanite gear — helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots, sword, axe, and pickaxe — all from Vulcanite Ingots with Blaze Rods as handles.
3. Equip the full Vulcanite set to gain passive Fire Resistance; wear it into the Nether or any fire hazard immediately.
4. Explore oceans and look for Deep Sea Caves between Y=10 and Y=−54. Mine Marine Steel Ore (limestone blocks with mineral deposits), smelt it into Marine Steel Ingots, and craft the full Marine Steel set for underwater adventures.
5. Upgrade to Voided gear by combining existing Netherite tools/armor with a Vulcanite Ingot, an Echo Shard, and Obsidian at a crafting table.

Overview

Vulcanite Flameforge adds three distinct gear progression lines and a new underground biome tied to ocean exploration. Vulcanite sits at the diamond tier, offering fire-themed offense and defense. Voided gear is the highest tier, built by infusing Netherite equipment with Vulcanite energy to create nigh-unstoppable offensive tools. Marine Steel is a parallel diamond-grade path for players who want to conquer the deep ocean, with bonuses specifically tied to water and rain environments. A rich family of Limestone decorative blocks also spawns in the new Deep Sea Caves, providing a unique building palette.

Abilities And Mechanics

Vulcanite Gear

• Armor: Wearing any piece of Vulcanite armor grants passive Fire Resistance. Attackers who strike you take burn damage (Thorns-style heat retaliation).
• Vulcanite Sword: Every hit applies fire to the target and triggers a fire sweep — nearby enemies within ~3 blocks are also set ablaze and take bonus damage.
• Vulcanite Axe: Strikes enemies wielding a shield and sets the shield on fire for 5 seconds, threatening to destroy it.
• Vulcanite Pickaxe: A high-tier mining tool built for Nether and hardened materials.
• Vulcanite Blaster: A ranged weapon that fires flaming, explosive projectiles. Has a 5-second cooldown between shots. Crafted with Vulcanite Ingots, a Fire Charge, Diamonds, a Blaze Rod, and Redstone.

Voided Gear

• Armor: Netherite-grade protection. Wearing the full Voided set eliminates knockback you receive. Enemies that hit you take heavy Thorns retaliation (10 damage).
• Voided Sword: Deals armor-piercing bonus damage on top of normal hits, bypassing a portion of enemy defense.
• Voided Axe: Shatters a raised shield outright — the shield item is destroyed and the attacker sees a notification. A particle effect plays at the point of impact.
• Voided Pickaxe: Can mine Bedrock — it removes the bedrock block and returns it to your inventory.
• Voided Apple: Eating it grants extreme Strength (Amplifier XII) for 8 minutes. Crafted from an Apple, a Golden Apple, a Vulcanite Ingot, an Echo Shard, and Obsidian.

Marine Steel Gear

• Armor: Diamond-grade protection. Wearing any Marine Steel armor piece grants Water Breathing passively.
• Marine Steel Boots: When you walk over lava, the lava beneath your feet converts to Obsidian, protecting you from lava pools.
• Marine Steel Sword: Deals +60% bonus damage while you are in water or during rain (sky-exposed in the Overworld).
• Marine Steel Axe: Hitting aquatic mobs (cod, salmon, dolphins, pufferfish, tropical fish, and similar creatures) causes them to drop rare loot.
• Marine Steel Pickaxe: Mines Limestone blocks faster than standard tools.
• Marine Steel Pike: Inflicts a short suffocation effect on hit targets.
• All Marine Steel armor pieces are repairable with Marine Steel Ingots at an anvil.

Deep Sea Caves

A new underground structure generates beneath ocean floors between Y=10 and Y=−54. These caves are lined with Limestone and its variants, and contain veins of Marine Steel Ore — a visually distinct limestone block with embedded mineral deposits. Mine the ore with any pickaxe, then smelt it to obtain Marine Steel Ingots.

Progression And Strategy

Early Game → Vulcanite Gather a Diamond, Netherite Scrap, Blaze Powder, and Magma Cream to craft your first Vulcanite Ingots. Build out the full armor set and sword before venturing deep into the Nether — passive Fire Resistance and attacker burns dramatically reduce chip damage from lava and fire mobs. The Vulcanite Blaster is a powerful ranged option for crowds but requires careful cooldown management.

Mid Game → Marine Steel Once you've located an ocean, dive deep to find Deep Sea Cave entrances. Stock up on Marine Steel Ingots and craft the full armor set. The water-breathing passive removes the need for potions entirely on extended dives. Equip the Marine Steel Sword during rain or underwater combat for massive damage boosts, and bring the axe when hunting aquatic mobs for rare drops.

Endgame → Voided With a full Netherite set already in hand, convert each piece using Vulcanite Ingots, Echo Shards, and Obsidian. The Voided set completely shuts down knockback abuse and retaliates hard against melee attackers. The Voided Axe counters shield-users outright, while the Voided Pickaxe opens bedrock paths unavailable to any other tool. Eat a Voided Apple before boss fights for an overwhelming strength burst lasting 8 full minutes.

Building Limestone and its crafted variants — cut, chiseled, and combinations thereof — are available in stair and slab forms, making Deep Sea Cave materials excellent for underwater builds, coastal structures, or ancient-ruin aesthetics.
