Voidshape Stalker

Quickstart

• For a quick test, use the Voidshape Stalker Spawn Egg from the Creative inventory, or—with cheats enabled—run /summon com_voidshape_stalker_cgklijfz:myplayer.
• To encounter one naturally, explore dark, surface-level areas of the Overworld on Normal or Hard difficulty.
• It begins invulnerable. Let it notice you looking at it: it shifts randomly among four disguises, including its true form. When it shows its true form, hold an Echo Shard and interact with it. The interaction only works in that form and makes it vulnerable.

Overview

The Voidshape Stalker resembles a player and hunts nearby players. It can change its disguise when watched, so revealing its true form is the key to fighting it.

How To Use

When you find a Stalker, keep an Echo Shard in your hand and interact with it when it takes its true form. Interacting while it wears another disguise has no effect. Once exposed, it can take damage and be defeated.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Disguise shifts: When a player looks at it, the Stalker randomly selects one of four disguises.
• Hunting: It can target players within 32 blocks if it can see them, and deals 6 damage per hit.
• Movement: It can open doors while navigating and tends to avoid water.
• Drops: A player kill has a 50% chance to drop 1–2 string and a separate 15% chance to drop an Ender Pearl. Looting can improve these chances.

Progression And Strategy

Prepare for a fight before approaching: the Stalker can pursue you while it is still invulnerable. Watch for its true form, then interact with an Echo Shard to expose it before attacking. There is no crafting recipe for the Stalker; use its spawn egg or the summon command to place one directly.
