Quickstart

1. Gather every ingredient listed in the recipe below — note that several slots require full stacks, not single items.
2. Open a crafting table and fill all nine slots exactly as shown.
3. Pick up the Voidrender from the result slot (the game will only let you take it when every stack requirement is met).
4. Equip it and start swinging — no special keybinds needed.

Overview

Voidrender adds a single legendary sword to the game: the Voidrender. It is a one-of-a-kind blade forged from the void between dimensions, found in the Combat creative tab. Every swing drips with swirling portal energy, and landing enough hits in a row unleashes a devastating void explosion that ignores armor entirely.

What It Adds

Tooltip: "A blade forged from the space between dimensions."

How To Use

Voidrender functions like any standard melee sword — just equip it in your main hand and attack. There are no special key presses or modes to activate. All of its effects trigger automatically on hit.

• Attack damage: 6 (netherite sword base stats, standard attack speed)
• Particles: Every hit produces a burst of portal and end-rod particles around the target.

Abilities And Mechanics

Darkness on Hit

Each time you strike a living entity, it receives the Darkness effect for 10 seconds. Once an entity has been affected, it cannot receive Darkness from the Voidrender again for 30 seconds (per target). The cooldown is tracked individually per enemy, so you can freely switch between multiple targets without wasting the effect.

Void Explosion (5-Hit Combo)

Every successful hit on the same target increments a consecutive-hit counter. On the fifth consecutive hit, a void explosion detonates:

• A massive burst of portal, end-rod, and reverse-portal particles erupts around the target.
• An explosion sound plays.
• The target takes 10 points of magic damage that bypasses armor.
• The counter resets to zero and the combo can begin again.

Important: Switching to a different target resets your consecutive-hit counter back to 1 on the new target. Stay focused on one enemy to reach the 5-hit threshold.

Stack-Cost Crafting

The Voidrender recipe requires precise stack quantities in certain slots. The crafting table will not allow you to pick up the result unless every slot holds exactly the required amount. This means you must place full stacks of End Crystals, multiple Nether Stars, multiple Dragon Heads, and so on — not just single items.

Progression And Strategy

• Endgame material: Nearly every ingredient requires deep progression — dragon eggs and heads from the End, netherite from the Nether, an elytra, and end crystals. Expect to complete the main game milestones before crafting this sword.
• Boss farming: The Darkness debuff can severely hamper the vision of tough enemies. Apply it early in a fight and re-engage after the 30-second cooldown to keep enemies blinded.
• Commit to targets: Because switching enemies resets your combo counter, focus each fight on one enemy at a time to consistently trigger the armor-bypassing void explosion.
• Combo cycling: After triggering a void explosion on hit 5, your counter resets — immediately continue attacking the same target to start a new 5-hit cycle.
