Quickstart

1. Open your inventory — the recipe is unlocked automatically when you join a world.
2. Craft the Void Orb Pickaxe using the recipe below.
3. Hold it and mine any block as you normally would. The pickaxe instantly destroys all pickaxe-mineable blocks in the surrounding 4×4×4 area, with full item drops.

Overview

The Void Orb Pickaxe is a diamond-tier pickaxe with a dark, void-themed mystical appearance. Its defining feature is a massive area-of-effect mine: breaking a single block automatically clears every pickaxe-mineable block within a 4×4×4 cube centered on the broken block. All destroyed blocks drop their items normally, making it one of the fastest excavation tools available.

What It Adds

How To Use

• Mine normally — left-click any block as you would with a standard pickaxe. The AOE triggers automatically; no special keybind is needed.
• The 4×4×4 area extends 1 block behind and 2 blocks in front/to the sides of the targeted block, so positioning matters when you want to preserve nearby blocks.
• Only blocks tagged as mineable with a pickaxe are affected by the AOE. Bedrock, air, and unbreakable blocks are always skipped.
• Every block in the AOE drops its items exactly as if a player mined it individually, including ore drops, silk-touch interactions (if applicable), and fortune bonuses.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe is automatically unlocked when you enter a world, so it will always appear in your recipe book.

Ingredients:

• 1× Netherite Pickaxe (center)
• 4× Ender Pearl (corners and sides)
• 4× Obsidian (remaining slots)

The pickaxe does not stack — only one fits in an inventory slot at a time.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Diamond-tier mining level — can harvest any block a diamond pickaxe can.
• 4×4×4 AOE — up to 63 additional blocks are broken per swing.
• Full drops — every block in the AOE drops items as though a player mined it, respecting the enchantments on the pickaxe.
• No durability quirks — AOE blocks do not each consume extra durability beyond what the base mine costs.

Progression And Strategy

• Ore veins — position yourself so an ore vein sits near the center of the AOE cube. One swing can clear an entire vein and the stone around it.
• Bulk excavation — tunneling through stone, clearing out cave walls, or strip-mining large rooms becomes extremely fast. Each click removes up to 64 blocks at once.
• Preserve structure — be cautious near builds or valuable blocks you want to keep; the AOE does not discriminate between valuable and common pickaxe-mineable blocks.
• Late-game tool — the Netherite Pickaxe ingredient means this is a post-Nether upgrade, rewarding players who have already progressed through standard tiers.
