Quickstart

1. Craft the Void Devourer using the recipe below.
2. Hold it in your hand and right-click (use item) while aiming at the area you want to devour.
3. Stand back — everything caught nearby will be violently pulled toward the point of impact and destroyed.
4. Wait for the item's cooldown to finish before using it again.

Overview

The Void Devourer is a single, powerful tool item that tears open a small gravitational rift wherever you aim. Anything living or loose caught inside the rift gets yanked toward its center and obliterated in a burst of dark, swirling particles. It's meant to be used sparingly as a dramatic "clear the area" tool rather than a everyday weapon.

What It Adds

• Void Devourer — a unique combat-category item that creates a devastating gravity well on use.
• A crafting recipe to obtain it from powerful, rare materials.
• Fire immunity for the item itself, so it can survive being dropped in lava or fire.

How To Use

• Hold the Void Devourer and use/right-click to trigger it.
• It targets a point roughly 7 blocks in front of where you're looking.
• A rift forms with a 12-block radius, pulling in all nearby entities (mobs, players, dropped items, etc.) toward its center.
• Anything pulled in and caught close to the center takes massive damage — enough to instantly destroy most mobs. Other players caught in the blast take heavy but survivable damage.
• The effect is accompanied by portal-like particle effects and an eerie teleport sound.
• After use, the item enters a short cooldown (about 5 seconds) before it can be triggered again.
• You can only carry one Void Devourer at a time — it doesn't stack.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Void Devourer is assembled from rare end-game materials: Ender Eyes, Nether Stars, and Crying Obsidian.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Gravitational Pull: All entities within 12 blocks of the targeted point are pulled toward the center of the rift, with stronger pull the closer they get.
• Devouring Damage: Living creatures caught near the rift's center take catastrophic damage — mobs are typically annihilated instantly, while players take a large but survivable hit.
• Cooldown: After each use, the Void Devourer needs a brief cooldown before it can fire again, preventing spam use.
• Fire Immune: The item won't burn up if exposed to fire or lava.

Progression And Strategy

Because it requires a Nether Star and Ender Eyes to craft, the Void Devourer is an end-game item best obtained after defeating the Wither and gathering Ender Pearls/Blaze Powder for Eyes of Ender. Use it to instantly clear crowds of hostile mobs, collapse item piles into one spot, or create dramatic area-denial effects in PvP or builds. Because of its damage output, avoid using it near allies or valuable tamed creatures — the pull and damage do not discriminate between friend and foe except for reduced (but still heavy) damage against players.
