    Description:

Plant a single Treehouse Sapling to instantly grow a themed, fully furnished treehouse that matches the local wood type, complete with massive tapered trunks, abundant branches, leaf clusters, hanging lanterns and vine access. Explore and loot the generated treehouse, then gather materials to craft upgrade modules and a Treehouse Key to attach modules to the side-mounted Treehouse Core; available modules add Storage (corner chests), Enchanting areas, Smelting workspaces, an Animal Pen, and Roofing segments that physically expand the structure. Lighting behaves realistically—hanging lanterns only appear when supported and standing lanterns require valid floor support—and the system integrates seamlessly into survival or creative worlds with no extra commands or setup. note that the edits to the tree house if you see lantern kind of floating I did craft fences to add with chain metal and lanterns so once you have put the upgrades in the tree house core once all upgrades have been implemented then you can make all the edits I would also break items like the anvil any furnaces when applying all the upgrades some of the items will take the place of another so the crafting table the anvil and the chest from that side so that the other items will spawn in their place unless you want to upgrade its up to you but I recommend the roof upgrade and the balcony Upgrade my favorite is the treehouse key to be able to teleport directly to the tree house without having to climb it the rest you can decorate it the way you want it. just like i did it may not be 100% but i really wanted something like this for a long time. I'm just glad i got it to work.

    Treehouse Sapling

    Quickstart

    1. Craft a sapling — the cheapest starting option is the generic Treehouse Sapling (oak theme). All sapling recipes need logs, a sapling, a wooden door, and bone meal. Pick any wood-specific variant to match a theme you like.
    2. Place it — right-click any solid block's top face with the sapling item in hand. One sapling block is placed; the block below must be solid and the target spot must be air or replaceable.
    3. Grow it — right-click the placed sapling block directly, apply Bone Meal, or wait for natural random-tick growth. The sky must be open above the sapling.
    4. Claim your key — a linked Treehouse Key is added to your inventory automatically when the treehouse finishes generating. Keep it in your hotbar for fast travel.
    5. Teleport home — right-click the Treehouse Key, then stand completely still for 3 seconds. Moving, taking damage, or attacking cancels the warmup.
    6. Expand — craft upgrade modules and right-click the Treehouse Core block on the interior east wall to install them.

    Overview

Treehouse Sapling is a Fabric mod for Minecraft Java 1.21.5. Plant one of eight wood-themed sapling variants (or the generic oak starter) on open ground to instantly generate a massive, fully-furnished treetop base. Each tree features a wide tapered trunk, natural side branches, vine access from the ground, and a fully stocked house offset to one side of the trunk. A modular upgrade system lets you expand the base with storage rooms, smelting suites, enchanting platforms, animal pens, and decorative roofing — all physically built onto the structure.

    How To Use

    Placing the Sapling

Right-click any solid block's top face with a sapling item. One sapling block is placed and one item is consumed (not consumed in Creative mode).

    Placement requirements:

    • The target position must be air or replaceable.
    • The block directly below must be solid.

    Growing the Treehouse

    To trigger growth:

    • Right-click the placed sapling block, or
    • Apply Bone Meal (instant growth), or
    • Wait — there is a small random-tick chance of natural growth.

    Growth requirements:

    • Sky must be open at least two blocks above the sapling.
    • The area the structure needs must be free of solid non-replaceable blocks. Leaves, flowers, grass, ferns, other saplings, vines, and snow are cleared automatically. Obstructions show an action-bar message explaining the problem.

    After Growing

    • The full treehouse and tree generate instantly.
    • A linked Treehouse Key appears in your inventory.
    • An action-bar message confirms the treehouse is linked to your account.
    • All generated blocks are standard Minecraft blocks — chests retain items across reloads; nothing resets or regenerates.

    Using the Treehouse Key

The key given at growth is already bound to your player UUID.

    • Right-click to start the 3-second warmup.
    • Stand completely still. Moving, taking damage, or attacking cancels the warmup with a chat message.
    • On success you are teleported to your treehouse entrance, even from another dimension.
    • Keys are personal — attempting to use someone else's key shows a message naming the actual owner.
    • A blank, unlinked key shows: "This Treehouse Key is blank. Grow a treehouse to receive a linked key."

    Installing Upgrade Modules

    1. Craft the desired upgrade module.
    2. Hold it in hand and right-click the Treehouse Core (east interior wall).
    3. Only the treehouse owner can install upgrades.
    4. Each module type can only be installed once — duplicates show a message.
    5. The module item is consumed on installation (not in Creative mode).
    6. The new platform or room generates immediately.

    Reading the Treehouse Core

Right-clicking the Treehouse Core with an empty hand (or a non-module item) displays the current owner name and list of installed modules.

    Abilities And Mechanics

    Tree Structure

Every treehouse generates a massive tapered trunk, multiple natural branches, and a house offset to one side of the trunk. The house platform sits approximately 22 blocks above the ground. Trunk width tapers from about 5×5 or wider at the base, narrowing to 3×3 or 1×1 near the top. Larger variants (Jungle, Dark Oak, Mangrove) start even wider. Mangrove additionally generates diagonal root props sweeping outward from the base.

    Branches

Side branches generate at multiple heights. They:

    • Extend in multiple directions using matching log blocks with organic wobble.
    • Carry leaf clusters at their ends.
    • Support hanging lanterns and vines.
    • Are thicker and longer near the trunk base, shorter near the top.

Spruce generates stacked ring-style branches at regular intervals up the full trunk height.

    Vine Access

There are no staircases. A vine column runs from ground level up to a plank-and-slab walkway that bridges the trunk to the house entrance. Climb the vines to reach the treehouse.

    Tree Styles

    VariantSilhouette
OakWide rounded trunk, thick side branches
SpruceTall narrow trunk, layered disc canopy rings
BirchThinner bright trunk, smooth spreading branches
JungleVery thick trunk, long vine-covered branches, wide spherical canopy
AcaciaBent trunk, wide sideways branches with upward tips, savanna silhouette
Dark OakMassive heavy trunk, fortress-like wide branches
MangroveRoot-heavy base, twisted branches, diagonal root props
CherryElegant spreading branches with pink blossom leaves

    Interior Layout

Every generated house contains open walking space in the center, with:

    • 3 stocked chests in corners — pre-loaded with Bread, Torches, Coal, and matching Planks.
    • Crafting Table on the north wall.
    • Anvil beside the crafting table.
    • Furnace on the other side of the crafting table.
    • Bed on the south wall, colour-matched to the wood type.
    • Treehouse Core on the east wall.
    • Door on the west side facing the vine approach.
    • No fences around the main house perimeter.

    Bed Colours by Variant

    VariantBed Colour
    OakRed
    SpruceBlue
    BirchWhite
    JungleLime
    AcaciaOrange
    Dark OakBlack

    Walls and Windows

    • Default walls — matching planks.
    • Dark Oak — dark oak wood block walls.
    • Birch — stripped birch log walls.
    • Acacia — stripped acacia log walls.
    • Windows — glass panes by default; orange stained glass panes for Acacia; pink stained glass panes for Cherry.

    Built-in Roof

Every treehouse generates a layered roof at growth time providing rain and snow protection. The Roofing Module adds a second decorative layer above this.

    VariantBuilt-in Roof Material
    OakOak Stairs
    SpruceSpruce Stairs (steep pitch)
    BirchBirch Slabs
    JungleJungle Leaves
    AcaciaCut Copper
    Dark OakDeepslate Bricks
    MangroveMangrove Leaves
    CherryCherry Leaves

    Lantern Placement

Lanterns throughout the treehouse and tree are all support-checked before placement:

    • Hanging lanterns — only placed when a solid block, branch, chain, fence, or trapdoor is directly above. A chain or trapdoor is auto-inserted first if no support exists.
    • Standing lanterns — only placed on solid floors, slabs, fences, or platform surfaces.
    • No lanterns are ever placed in open air.

    Acacia Special Details

The Acacia Treehouse Sapling item tooltip reads: "Acacia build: stripped acacia corner posts, orange-accented furnishings, orange stained-glass windows. Includes a shaded entrance awning and copper-trimmed roof."

The generated structure includes orange carpet along the east platform edge and a copper awning strip over the entrance.

    Upgrade Platform Details

All external upgrade modules generate a solid plank floor connected to the main platform by a plank walkway.

    ModulePlatform Location
    EnchantingSouth side
    Animal PenNorthwest

    Treehouse Core Block

Placed automatically on the east interior wall during generation. Stores:

    • Owner UUID and display name.
    • Wood variant and origin coordinates (used for teleport targeting and upgrade placement).
    • Roof type.
    • List of installed upgrade modules.

Destroying the core does not remove the structure but disables ownership-dependent features (upgrades and key binding).

    Progression And Strategy

Early game — all sapling recipes require only logs, a sapling or propagule, a matching wooden door, and bone meal — resources available on the first day. Oak or Birch are the cheapest to source. Plant on flat open ground or a hilltop; dense canopies nearby can interfere with growth. The pre-stocked chests provide immediate food, torches, and coal.

Mid game — the built-in anvil enables early tool repairs. Add modules as you gather materials:

    • Smelting Module — multi-furnace suite for bulk smelting.
    • Enchanting Module — dedicated south side platform with enchanting table and bookshelves.
    • Storage Module — extra chests and barrels for overflow storage.
    • Animal Pen Module — fenced northwest platform for passive mobs.

Late game — install the Roofing Module for a decorative extra roof layer, and use the Treehouse Key for cross-dimensional fast travel back to your base.

    Tips:

    • Plant in a clearing for the cleanest generation; terrain can clip large trunks.
    • Bone Meal guarantees instant growth; natural growth can take several minutes.
    • Keep the Treehouse Key in your hotbar. Stand completely still during the 3-second warmup — any movement, damage, or attacking cancels it.
    • Jungle and Dark Oak variants produce the largest platforms and most interior space.
    • Cherry and Acacia are the most visually distinctive and suit aesthetic builds.
    • Rain protection is already provided by the base roof generated at growth time; the Roofing Module is purely decorative.
    • All generated blocks are standard Minecraft blocks — freely break, replace, or build onto any part of the structure after it generates.
