Description:
Treehouse Sapling is a Fabric mod for Minecraft Java 1.21.5. Plant one of eight wood-themed sapling variants (or the generic oak starter) on open ground to instantly generate a massive, fully-furnished treetop base. Each tree features a wide tapered trunk, natural side branches, vine access from the ground, and a fully stocked house offset to one side of the trunk. A modular upgrade system lets you expand the base with storage rooms, smelting suites, enchanting platforms, animal pens, and decorative roofing — all physically built onto the structure.

All sapling and module recipes accept Minecraft wood-type item tags, so any matching vanilla wood variant works interchangeably in the crafting grid.
Every treehouse generates a massive tapered trunk, multiple natural branches, and a house offset to one side of the trunk. The house platform sits approximately 22 blocks above the ground. Trunk width tapers from about 5×5 or wider at the base, narrowing to 3×3 or 1×1 near the top. Larger variants (Jungle, Dark Oak, Mangrove) start even wider. Mangrove additionally generates diagonal root props sweeping outward from the base.
Side branches generate at multiple heights. They:
Spruce generates stacked ring-style branches at regular intervals up the full trunk height.
There are no staircases. A vine column runs from ground level up to a plank-and-slab walkway that bridges the trunk to the house entrance. Climb the vines to reach the treehouse.
| Variant | Silhouette |
|---|---|
| Oak | Wide rounded trunk, thick side branches |
| Spruce | Tall narrow trunk, layered disc canopy rings |
| Birch | Thinner bright trunk, smooth spreading branches |
| Jungle | Very thick trunk, long vine-covered branches, wide spherical canopy |
| Acacia | Bent trunk, wide sideways branches with upward tips, savanna silhouette |
| Dark Oak | Massive heavy trunk, fortress-like wide branches |
| Mangrove | Root-heavy base, twisted branches, diagonal root props |
| Cherry | Elegant spreading branches with pink blossom leaves |
Every generated house contains open walking space in the center, with:
| Variant | Bed Colour |
|---|---|
| Oak | Red |
| Spruce | Blue |
| Birch | White |
| Jungle | Lime |
| Acacia | Orange |
| Dark Oak | Black |
| Mangrove | Cyan |
| Cherry | Pink |
Every treehouse generates a layered roof at growth time providing rain and snow protection. The Roofing Module adds a second decorative layer above this.
| Variant | Built-in Roof Material |
|---|---|
| Oak | Oak Stairs |
| Spruce | Spruce Stairs (steep pitch) |
| Birch | Birch Slabs |
| Jungle | Jungle Leaves |
| Acacia | Cut Copper |

Lanterns throughout the treehouse and tree are all support-checked before placement:
The Acacia Treehouse Sapling item tooltip reads: "Acacia build: stripped acacia corner posts, orange-accented furnishings, orange stained-glass windows. Includes a shaded entrance awning and copper-trimmed roof."
The generated structure includes orange carpet along the east platform edge and a copper awning strip over the entrance.
All external upgrade modules generate a solid plank floor connected to the main platform by a plank walkway.
| Module | Platform Location |
|---|---|
| Enchanting | South side |
| Animal Pen | Northwest |

Destroying the core does not remove the structure but disables ownership-dependent features (upgrades and key binding).
Early game — all sapling recipes require only logs, a sapling or propagule, a matching wooden door, and bone meal — resources available on the first day. Oak or Birch are the cheapest to source. Plant on flat open ground or a hilltop; dense canopies nearby can interfere with growth. The pre-stocked chests provide immediate food, torches, and coal.
Mid game — the built-in anvil enables early tool repairs. Add modules as you gather materials:
Late game — install the Roofing Module for a decorative extra roof layer, and use the Treehouse Key for cross-dimensional fast travel back to your base.
