Mod Wiki
Tnt Lineblade
Quickstart
- Gather TNT (×4), an Iron Sword, and a Blaze Rod.
- Craft the Tnt Lineblade at a Crafting Table using the recipe below.
- Hold the sword in your main hand and attack any entity (left-click).
- Eight TNT blocks instantly erupt in a straight line directly in front of you — then detonate. Step back!
Overview
The Tnt Lineblade is a single-use, rare-quality sword that trades durability for raw explosive power. The moment you land a hit on any mob or player, the blade conjures a chain of eight primed TNT blocks in a straight line along the horizontal direction you are facing, then consumes itself. One swing, one devastating explosion — gone.
What It Adds
| Item | Rarity | Damage | Durability | Stack Size |
|---|
| Tnt Lineblade | Rare (glint) | 7 | 1 (single-use) | 1 |
How To Use
- Equip the Tnt Lineblade in your main hand (hotbar).
- Face the direction you want the TNT chain to travel — the line always extends horizontally in front of you, regardless of vertical aim.
- Hit any entity with a left-click attack to trigger the effect.
- Eight TNT blocks appear one block apart, starting directly ahead of you and stretching out 8 blocks. A split second later they are replaced by primed (live) TNT entities that explode.
- The sword is destroyed immediately after the attack, so each crafted blade is good for exactly one use.
Abilities And Mechanics
- TNT Line: 8 blocks long, each block spaced 1 block apart along your horizontal facing direction, starting 1 block in front of you.
- Detonation sequence: The static TNT blocks appear first (giving them a brief visual presence), then are swapped for primed TNT entities that immediately explode, preventing any double-explosion stacking.
- Single-use destruction: The sword is removed from your inventory after firing — no partial uses, no durability bar to manage.
- Enchantable: The blade occupies the sword enchantment slot, so you can enchant it (e.g., Sharpness, Looting) before using it — though you only get one swing to benefit from those enchantments.
- No Creative destruction: The sword cannot break blocks in Creative mode, keeping its effect purely entity-triggered.
Progression And Strategy
- Aim carefully — the TNT line fires in the flat direction you face, so position yourself so the chain runs through as many targets as possible.
- Back up before swinging. The first TNT block spawns just 1 block in front of your feet; the blast radius will reach you if you stand still.
- Save it for high-value moments: boss encounters, tight mob clusters, or PvP ambushes. Crafting a new one each time costs TNT, an Iron Sword, and a Blaze Rod, so spend each blade wisely.
- Enchant before use: Apply Looting or Fire Aspect at an enchanting table before swinging to maximise the single use.
- Combine with terrain: Funnel mobs into a corridor, then fire the line down it for maximum coverage.
