Tideflame Blade

Quickstart

1. Gather a Blaze Rod, Prismarine Crystals, and a Nether Star — these unlock the recipe automatically.
2. Craft the Tideflame Blade at a Crafting Table:

1. Equip the sword and hit any enemy to see the Fire Edge in action — the target ignites immediately.
2. While holding the sword, press Use (right-click / tap the Use button) to unleash the Tsunami ability, obliterating everything within 160 blocks.

Overview

The Tideflame Blade is an epic-rarity dual-natured sword that fuses fire and water into a single weapon. Every melee swing chars enemies with its fire edge, while a powerful tsunami ability can be triggered on demand to annihilate an entire area. It is one of the most powerful weapons available, built from late-game materials and capable of reshaping a battlefield in seconds.

The sword appears in the Equipment tab of the inventory. It has a permanent enchantment glint, signalling its extraordinary nature.

How To Use

Fire Edge — Melee Attacks

Every time you strike an entity with the Tideflame Blade:

• The target is set on fire instantly.
• A moment later it takes an extra 4 fire damage.
• It receives Poison II for 3 seconds, adding additional damage-over-time.
• A custom sound plays at the point of impact.

This makes the blade exceptionally effective at wearing down tough mobs in sustained combat.

Tsunami Edge — Area Devastation

Trigger: Press Use while holding the sword (right-click on Java-style controllers; the Use/Interact button on touch or controller).

When activated:

• A world announcement alerts all nearby players that a tsunami has been unleashed.
• A ring of 20 lightning bolts erupts outward in a spiral as a visual shockwave.
• All entities within 160 blocks (10 chunks) receive:
  • Knockback proportional to their distance from you.
  • 100 drowning damage — fatal to virtually any mob.
  • Slowness V and Weakness for 10 seconds.
• After triggering, the ability enters a 10-second cooldown. A countdown message appears on your action bar if you try to use it again too soon.

Warning: The tsunami damages all entities in range, including passive mobs, villagers, and other players. Use with caution in populated areas.

Abilities And Mechanics

Repairs & Enchanting

• The Tideflame Blade occupies the sword enchantment slot with an enchantability of 15 — better than iron, comparable to gold.
• Repair it in an Anvil using Netherite Ingots or Blaze Rods, each restoring 400 durability.
• Durability decreases by 1 on every hit (100% damage chance).

Bonus Utility

• Cuts through cobwebs and bamboo with high efficiency, just like a standard sword.

Progression And Strategy

• Mid-to-late game acquisition: You need a Nether Star (Wither kill), Blaze Rods (Nether fortress), and Prismarine Crystals (Ocean Monument) before you can craft the blade. Plan expeditions to all three locations.
• Fire Edge for single targets: Use normal melee swings against bosses or named mobs — the fire + poison combo deals substantial bonus damage on top of the base 8 damage.
• Tsunami for crowd control: Save the tsunami for mob farms, raids, large mob swarms, or boss arenas crowded with minions. The 10-second cooldown is short enough to chain uses in prolonged battles.
• Positional awareness: The tsunami's 160-block radius is enormous. Step away from builds, animals, and allies before triggering it to avoid unintended casualties.
• Keep durability topped off: With 2031 durability the blade lasts a long time, but carry a few Blaze Rods as cheap field repairs during extended dungeon runs.
