Quickstart

1. In Creative, search for the addon’s spawn eggs to try its creatures right away. For a natural encounter, explore the Gasso Biome; search plains or jungle biomes for The Void Cube.
2. Bring torches before fighting The Hand. It emerges from the ground and cannot be killed until a torch is nearby.
3. Find a Moss Man and interact with him to open his shop. Carry emeralds and leave room in your inventory for your purchase.
4. Chop a Gasso tree for Gasso Logs, then craft them into planks. You can use bone meal on a Gasso Sapling to grow a tree.

Overview

The Mod centers on the Gasso Biome, its red-barked trees and orange planks, and a large collection of unusual creatures. It also includes three special encounters: The Hand, The Void Cube, and the rare trader Moss Man.

How To Use

• Fight The Hand: Place a torch close to it before trying to finish it off. Torches and wall torches work, including soul torches.
• Trade with Moss Man: Interact with him to open his shop. Its offers are:
  • Netherite Sword — 32 emeralds
  • 3 Enchanted Golden Apples — 20 emeralds
  • Totem of Undying — 48 emeralds
    The emeralds can be anywhere in your inventory; make sure you have space for the item.
• Grow Gasso trees: Plant a Gasso Sapling, then use bone meal on it to grow a tree.

Crafting And Obtaining

Crafting one Gasso Log produces four Gasso Planks:

Gasso Leaves have a chance to drop a Gasso Sapling. Gasso Guardian can also drop one.

Abilities And Mechanics

The Hand needs a torch within roughly five blocks to be killed. Keep torches ready if you encounter it away from a lit area.

A Charged Creeper that kills a creature can drop a named Gasso Mob Trophy showing the victim’s name.

Progression And Strategy

Explore the Gasso Biome to find its trees and creatures, and collect emeralds as you search for Moss Man. For The Hand, carry torches rather than relying on them to appear nearby. If you’re hunting The Void Cube, focus on plains and jungle biomes.
