The Kraken

Quickstart

1. Enter Creative mode and open the inventory.
2. Find The Kraken Wand in the Equipment category. You can also obtain it with: /give @s com_the_kraken_lx4toahd:structure_wand
3. Travel to a clear location, preferably over or beside a large body of water.
4. Hold the wand, aim at the ground or a nearby surface, and use it. The wand fires a projectile.
5. When the projectile hits something, the colossal Kraken structure appears around the impact point. Move away quickly and watch the ocean breach unfold.

The wand has a 2-second cooldown between uses. It does not require separate ammunition while playing in Creative mode.

Overview

The Kraken is a large-scale structure experience centered on a dramatic ocean breach. Use the Kraken Wand to awaken and place the structure in the world, then explore the resulting colossal scene or try to survive its hazardous-looking emergence.

The structure occupies a very large area and extends high above the ground. Always activate it somewhere with plenty of room.

What It Adds

• The Kraken Wand — a Creative equipment item used to trigger the structure.
• Kraken Wand Projectile — the visible projectile fired by the wand.
• The Kraken structure — a massive custom-built scene assembled around the projectile’s impact location.
• Custom dark structure blocks used throughout the Kraken build.

How To Use

Activating the Kraken

Hold The Kraken Wand and use it while aiming at a solid target. The wand launches a projectile with a small amount of gravity, so distant shots may follow a slight arc.

On impact, the wand places the complete Kraken structure relative to the projectile’s landing point. The impact can also knock entities back, but the projectile itself deals no damage.

Choosing a Location

Before firing:

• Clear a broad area around the target.
• Keep valuable builds and terrain well away from the activation point.
• Leave plenty of vertical space for the Kraken’s upper sections.
• Use an ocean or another open location for the intended breach-themed presentation.
• Warn nearby players before triggering it; the structure is much larger than an ordinary building.

The structure is placed directly into the world, so it can cover or replace blocks in its placement area.

Repeating the Encounter

After the cooldown ends, fire the wand again at another location to create another Kraken structure. Firing repeatedly into the same area places the structure there again and may overwrite parts of the surrounding scene.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Kraken Wand has no crafting recipe. Obtain it from the Equipment section of the Creative inventory or use:

/give @s com_the_kraken_lx4toahd:structure_wand

Creative mode is the most direct way to use the mod because the wand fires without requiring ammunition.

Abilities And Mechanics

The wand does not charge up. Use it normally, then wait for its short cooldown before firing again.

Progression And Strategy

The Kraken has no item-based progression or crafting tree. Its challenge comes from preparation and positioning:

1. Scout first. Find an open ocean or clear an arena before activating the wand.
2. Set an escape route. Keep land, boats, or elevated platforms nearby so you can retreat from the breach.
3. Activate from a distance. Aim at the intended center of the scene rather than standing directly in the placement area.
4. Explore after the structure settles. Inspect the Kraken from the outside before entering its highest or most enclosed sections.
5. Use Creative tools for cleanup. The structure is made from breakable blocks, so unwanted sections can be removed after the encounter.
6. Create a spectacle. Place the Kraken near a coastline, harbor, or custom arena and invite other players to watch the breach.
