Quickstart

1. Load up a world — Goombas spawn naturally across the Overworld, so you'll likely encounter one quickly, especially in open areas.
2. If you want to spawn one manually, find the The Goomba From Super Mario Bros spawn egg in the Spawn Eggs creative tab and right-click the ground.
3. Hit the Goomba once with any attack to kill it instantly. Watch your own health, though — it hits back hard.

Overview

This mod brings the iconic Goomba from Super Mario Bros into Minecraft as a living, breathing hostile mob. It wanders the Overworld day and night, hunting players on sight. True to its video-game roots, the Goomba is a glass-cannon enemy: one tap kills it, but ignoring it is a mistake — it deals enough damage to wear down a full-health player in just ten hits.

What It Adds

Abilities And Mechanics

• 1 HP (half a heart): Any single hit from the player kills a Goomba immediately.
• Deals 2 damage per hit: With a full 20 HP, a player will be killed in exactly 10 hits if they take every attack.
• No sunlight weakness: Unlike zombies, Goombas do not burn during the day and are active at all hours.
• Actively hunts players: Goombas have a follow range of 24 blocks and will chase players on sight.
• Natural Overworld spawning: Goombas spawn in groups of 1–6 throughout all Overworld biomes.
• Can swim: Goombas will not simply drown — they will swim to reach you.
• Drops 3 XP on death.

Progression And Strategy

Because Goombas die in a single hit, they are trivially easy to kill one-on-one. The real danger comes in numbers — groups of 2 or more can quickly punish a careless player, since each hit removes a full heart. Keep the following in mind:

• Don't let them surround you. A cluster of Goombas chasing you can deal damage faster than you can react, especially early in a survival game.
• Any weapon works. Even a fist kills a Goomba instantly, so you are never under-equipped to deal with one.
• They roam during the day. You cannot wait for daytime as a safe window the way you might with zombies. Stay alert in open biomes at all times.
• Ranged attacks are ideal for clearing groups safely before they close in, since each arrow or spell is a guaranteed one-shot.
