Description:
Teal Abyss replaces Overworld oceans with a dramatic, glowing underwater realm. The seafloor is blanketed in coral reefs, seagrass meadows, and towering kelp forests, all bathed in a teal bioluminescent glow. Shorelines become soul-sand beaches shrouded in a low, constant fog. Caverns beneath the ocean floor are vast, filled with deep trenches and roomy side chambers. A custom ambient soundscape underscores the atmosphere. The mod works with existing worlds — oceans are migrated automatically on first load.

The Teal Abyss generates wherever oceans would normally appear. No special equipment is needed to breathe — use standard water-breathing potions, turtle helmets, or conduits exactly as in vanilla. The Abyssal Biome Finder (Creative tab) is the fastest way to reach the biome; right-clicking it teleports you directly and places it on a short cooldown.
The bottom is layered with Abyssal Coralstone, Glowing Teal Coral, seagrass, anemones, and sea pickles. Coral reefs form large structures. Ravines cut dramatically into the floor, leading to expansive underwater caverns with deep trenches and side chambers — ideal for mining and looting. Treasure chests spawn frequently on the seafloor and inside caverns, and contain:
Plants and flowers spread slowly on their own across sand, gravel, dirt, grass, and Abyssal Coralstone. This happens server-side near players over time — you do not need to do anything to trigger it. You can also use bone meal on Abyssal Coralstone to immediately scatter plants in a radius around it.
The Kraken is the biome's apex boss. It is enormous, spawning only deep underwater in the Teal Abyss biome. Its stats make it considerably more dangerous than a standard Guardian:

All aquatic creatures — fish, squid, dolphins, turtles, axolotls, and others — are visually scaled up when they spawn in the Teal Abyss. The scale multiplier can be adjusted in the config.
