Tarsier

Quickstart

1. In Creative mode, search the Spawn Eggs tab for Tarsier.
2. Use the spawn egg to place one beside a tree with a clear space next to its trunk.
3. Watch it wander toward nearby trunks and climb on its own. To trigger its climb animation, right-click it with your main hand; crouch-right-click to stop the action.

With cheats enabled, you can also use /give @s tarsier-gwzxab72:tarsier_gwzxab72_spawn_egg.

Overview

Tarsier adds a small, four-legged mob that wanders around, looks toward nearby players, and can climb trees. It is a creature to observe rather than a mount or a piece of equipment.

What It Adds

• The Tarsier mob.
• A Tarsier spawn egg, available in the Creative Spawn Eggs tab.

How To Use

Place a tarsier near a tree and give it room beside the trunk. It will explore on its own and may approach a suitable trunk to climb. Right-clicking with your main hand triggers its climb action; crouch-right-clicking stops that action.

Crafting And Obtaining

There is no crafting recipe for the spawn egg. Find it in the Creative Spawn Eggs tab, or use the /give command in a world with cheats enabled.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Tarsiers look around and wander when not climbing.
• They seek nearby trunks made from at least two vertically stacked log blocks. A clear space beside the trunk lets them approach it.
• During a climb, they move upward along the trunk. They need a log beside them and clear space above; they stop if either condition fails, or after climbing roughly 4.5 blocks.
