Quickstart

1. Craft a Strength Surge Potion using the recipe below.
2. Hold it in your hand and use it like food — hold right-click (or the eat/drink button) until it finishes.
3. Enjoy Strength IV for 3 minutes, hitting much harder than usual.

Overview

Strength Surge Potion adds a single new consumable item that acts like a food but functions like a potion. It's eaten rather than drunk from a bottle stack, and it grants a powerful, long-lasting Strength boost. It's found in the Food & Drink tab of the creative inventory and is craftable in survival.

What It Adds

• Strength Surge Potion – a food-like item that grants a strong Strength buff when consumed.

How To Use

• Consume it the same way you eat food: hold right-click/use while it's in your hand.
• It is always edible, even at full hunger, so you can drink it any time you need the buff.
• Consuming it restores a small amount of hunger and saturation in addition to granting the effect.
• You can carry up to 16 in a single stack.

Crafting And Obtaining

Combine a golden apple, two blaze powder, a brown mushroom, and a glass bottle to brew up a Strength Surge Potion:

Every new player automatically receives the recipe unlocked in their recipe book upon joining the world, so you don't need to hunt for it.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Drinking/eating the potion applies Strength IV for 3 minutes (3600 ticks).
• Strength IV significantly increases melee damage, making it useful for tough fights, boss battles, or mob farming.
• The effect is applied server-side, so it works reliably in multiplayer.
• The item is tagged as both a food and a potion, so it may interact with other systems that check for those categories.

Progression And Strategy

• Save Strength Surge Potions for difficult encounters like raids, the Wither, the Ender Dragon, or PvP, since the buff is strong and long-lasting.
• Because it doubles as food, it can be used in a pinch to stave off hunger while also boosting your combat power.
• Stock up on golden apples and blaze powder in advance — golden apples require gold ingots, and blaze powder comes from blaze rods dropped in the Nether — so you always have potions ready before a big fight.
