Overview
The Storm Tracer Blade is a divine netherite greatsword infused with the power of storms. It tracks a hidden Karma score based on how you fight — favoring kills made with the blade itself and punishing kills made with other weapons. As your Karma rises or falls, the sword grants you passive buffs and special abilities themed around thunder and judgment.
What It Adds
- Storm Tracer Blade — a rare, glowing netherite sword with high damage and durability.
- A Karma system that reacts to your combat behavior.
- A Karma interface menu accessible by double right-clicking with the blade.
- Three special abilities: God's Hand, Thunderbird, and Alheim.
Crafting And Obtaining
The Storm Tracer Blade is crafted at a crafting table using a trident, diamonds, echo shards, a nether star, blaze rods, and a netherite ingot.
The sword requires netherite ingots to repair and can be enchanted like a normal sword.
Abilities And Mechanics
Karma Score
- Killing hostile mobs or players with the Storm Tracer Blade increases your Karma ("blessed kills").
- Killing with other weapons decreases your Karma ("burdens").
- Your Karma level determines a title and tier, ranging from Neutral up through Spark-Blessed, Storm-Favored, Thunder Chosen, Divine Tempest, and Ascendant Storm on the positive side, or Static Burdened, Storm-Judged, Thunder Cursed, Divine Rejected, and Fallen Tempest on the negative side.
- Higher Karma tiers (in either direction) grant stronger passive effects while you hold the sword.
Karma Interface
- Double right-click the blade to open a menu showing your current Karma title, score, kill counts, active effects, progress to the next tier, and the cooldown status of all three abilities.
God's Hand
- A powerful strike ability with a 13-second cooldown.
Thunderbird
- An empowering activated state lasting 20 seconds, with a 50-second cooldown once it ends.
Alheim
- A defensive/reactive ability that becomes available when your health drops to 4 hearts or below, with a 20-second cooldown.
Ability readiness and cooldowns can always be checked through the Karma interface or the on-screen ability display while wielding the blade.
Progression And Strategy
- Stick to fighting exclusively with the Storm Tracer Blade to build positive Karma and climb toward the higher "Divine Tempest" and "Ascendant Storm" tiers for the best buffs.
- Watch your health — Alheim becomes available as an emergency option once you drop below 4 hearts.
- Time your fights around ability cooldowns: save God's Hand for tough single targets, and activate Thunderbird before engaging larger fights since it lasts 20 seconds and empowers you while active.
- Check the Karma interface regularly to track how many more kills are needed to reach your next tier.
