Quickstart

1. Craft the Starforge Space-Opera Battleship placer item using the recipe below.
2. Hold the item and use it on the ground to place your battleship.
3. Right-click (or interact) on the battleship to climb aboard as pilot.
4. Steer with normal movement controls — the ship flies freely and ignores gravity.
5. Tap/right-click or press Jump while mounted to fire a Plasma Broadside at whatever you're facing.

Overview

The Starforge Battleship turns a crafted item into a full flying warship you can pilot around your world. Once placed, it hovers under its own power, carries you as its pilot, and lets you unleash plasma projectile attacks at enemies, structures, or just for spectacle. It's built for cinematic space-opera battles — command your ship, line up a shot, and fire a heavy plasma shell that detonates in a dramatic explosion on impact.

What It Adds

• Starforge Space-Opera Battleship placer item — craft this item, then use it to spawn your battleship in the world.
• Battleship entity — a large, flyable vehicle with a single pilot seat, sturdy health, and no gravity, letting it soar smoothly through the sky or space-themed builds.
• Plasma Broadside weapon — a mounted ranged attack fired from the ship, ending in a fiery explosive burst.

How To Use

Placing the ship: Craft the placer item and use it on solid ground (or any block) to summon the battleship at that location.

Boarding: Walk up to the battleship and interact with it to climb into the pilot's seat. Only one pilot can ride at a time.

Flying: Once seated, you control the ship directly — it has no gravity and moves through the air using standard flight-style movement. It turns and strafes responsively, though backward movement is a bit slower than moving forward.

Firing weapons: While mounted, tap/right-click or press Jump to fire a Plasma Broadside. The shot flies out from your view direction and explodes on impact, breaking blocks in a small radius around the strike. There's a short cooldown between shots, so time your barrages.

Dismounting: Crouch to leave the pilot's seat and step back onto solid ground (or fly-parked ship deck).

Crafting And Obtaining

The battleship is obtained by crafting the placer item at a crafting table using rare, high-tier materials — netherite, a conduit, an end crystal, a TNT minecart, and lodestones. This is meant to be an endgame or creative-tier item reflecting the power of the vehicle it summons.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Free flight: No gravity, smooth aerial movement in all directions.
• Single pilot seat: Only the pilot can steer and fire; there are no passenger seats.
• Plasma Broadside: A single-shot ranged weapon fired from the ship. On impact it triggers a sizable explosion (radius 5) that breaks blocks but does not start fires, accompanied by a bright particle burst for cinematic effect.
• Cooldown: After firing, the weapon needs a short recharge period before it can fire again.
• Durable hull: The battleship has substantial health and can be pushed by pistons or other entities, but won't take fall damage or be affected by gravity.

Progression And Strategy

Since the crafting recipe requires valuable materials, treat the battleship as a capstone vehicle for exploration and combat spectacle rather than an early-game tool. Use its plasma broadside to clear obstacles, blast through terrain, or engage enemies at range while staying mobile and airborne. Because there's only one pilot seat, it's best suited for solo joyrides or duels rather than group transport — line up your shots carefully and manage the weapon's cooldown to keep a steady barrage going.
