Squirrel Monkey

Quickstart

In Creative, find the Squirrel Monkey spawn egg in the Spawn Eggs tab and use it on the ground. Try spawning one beside a tree with a clear space near its top: it wanders on all fours and may climb the trunk on its own.

You can also use /give @s squirrel-monkey-tmn6xokv:squirrel_monkey_tmn6xokv_spawn_egg to get the egg, or /summon squirrel-monkey-tmn6xokv:squirrel_monkey_tmn6xokv to summon the monkey directly.

Overview

The Squirrel Monkey is a small, roaming mob that can climb trees. It looks around, strolls through its surroundings, and climbs suitable trunks opportunistically.

What It Adds

• Squirrel Monkey: A 10-health mob with a spawn egg. It has no crafting recipe.

How To Use

Use the spawn egg on a block to place a monkey. There are no player-triggered interactions; observe it as it wanders and climbs.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Tree climbing: The monkey seeks nearby vertical columns of logs and climbs toward a clear landing spot near the top. A connected trunk at least a few blocks tall and open space nearby give it a chance to climb.
• Self-defense: It normally leaves players alone, but fights back if hurt. Its melee attack deals 2 damage.

Progression And Strategy

There is no taming or feeding mechanic. For the best chance to see a climb, spawn the monkey near an accessible log trunk with room around its base and a clear place to land above.
