Squid Ink Angler

Quickstart

1. Obtain the Squid Ink Angler from the Creative inventory’s Tools tab, or craft it with the recipe below.
2. Hold it and use it on a body of water to cast the bobber.
3. Wait for a bite, then use the angler again to reel in your catch.
4. Every successful catch becomes one or more ink sacs—including catches that would normally be treasure or junk.

Overview

The Squid Ink Angler is a specialized fishing rod that turns every fishing catch into ink sacs. It uses an extraordinarily high fishing luck value, but its defining feature is that the final catch is always converted to ink.

How To Use

Use the angler once to cast the bobber into water. When a fish bites, use it again to reel in the catch.

If the bobber is already deployed, using the item retrieves it and processes the catch. If no catch is ready, retrieving the bobber does not produce an item.

The Squid Ink Angler is crafted from:

• 4 ink sacs

The recipe is available in the recipe book when you enter a world. In Creative mode, the item is located in the Tools category.

Abilities And Mechanics

Guaranteed Ink Catches

Every item produced by a successful fishing catch is replaced with ink sacs. This includes normal fish, treasure, and junk results. The number of ink sacs follows the amount generated by the original catch.

Extreme Fishing Luck

The angler uses Luck of the Sea: 255, providing an exceptionally lucky fishing setup. Regardless of the original fishing result, the delivered item is still converted into ink sacs.

Durability

The Squid Ink Angler has 64 durability. Like a normal fishing rod, retrieving the bobber consumes durability when it performs a fishing action.

Progression And Strategy

Craft the angler when you need a dependable source of ink sacs without sorting through ordinary fishing loot. Fish from a convenient platform or shoreline, keep the bobber over open water, and reel in each bite as soon as it occurs.

Because the angler is dedicated to ink-sack collection, use a regular fishing rod when you want fish, treasure, or other standard fishing rewards.
