Sprint Energy Bar

Quickstart

1. Craft a Sprint Energy Bar using the recipe below.
2. Eat it like any food item to fully refill your sprint energy.
3. Watch the energy meter that appears on your HUD near the bottom of the screen, next to the usual hunger/food display.
4. Sprint around — your energy drains while sprinting and slowly regenerates while walking or standing still. Run out, and you'll be forced to stop sprinting until it recovers (or you eat another bar).

You'll automatically receive the crafting recipe for the Sprint Energy Bar the first time you join a world with this mod installed.

Overview

Sprint Energy Bar adds a stamina-style limitation to sprinting. Instead of being able to sprint forever as long as you have hunger, you now have a separate energy resource that depletes while sprinting and refills over time while not sprinting. A new item, the Sprint Energy Bar, can be eaten to instantly restore your energy to full.

What It Adds

• Energy Meter — A HUD bar on your screen tracking your current sprint energy out of a maximum value. It changes color as it depletes: green when healthy, yellow when getting low, and red when critically low.
• Sprint Energy Bar (item) — An edible snack that instantly refills your energy bar when eaten.

How To Use

• Sprinting drains your energy bar over time. If it hits zero, you are automatically forced out of sprinting — you'll have to walk until your energy recovers.
• Not sprinting slowly regenerates your energy in the background, even while just walking or standing.
• Eating a Sprint Energy Bar instantly restores your energy to full, letting you sprint again right away. It also provides a small amount of hunger and saturation like a snack, and plays a satisfying gulp sound when consumed.
• Keep an eye on the energy meter near your hunger bar to plan when to sprint and when to conserve energy.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Sprint Energy Bar is crafted using feathers, redstone, and a golden apple:

You'll be automatically given this recipe the first time you join a world with the mod active, so you don't need to discover it manually. The item also appears in the Food & Drink tab of the Creative inventory.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Your sprint energy has a fixed maximum capacity, shown as a filled bar in the HUD.
• Every tick spent sprinting reduces your energy by a small amount; once it reaches zero, sprinting is automatically disabled until you recover energy.
• While not sprinting, energy regenerates gradually on its own — no action required, just give it time.
• Eating a Sprint Energy Bar bypasses the wait entirely by restoring your energy to maximum instantly.
• Energy is tracked per player and persists as long as you stay connected to the server.

Progression And Strategy

• Treat the Sprint Energy Bar like an emergency stamina potion: save it for moments when you need to sprint immediately, such as fleeing danger or racing to shelter before nightfall.
• Since energy regenerates passively while walking, plan longer journeys with intermittent sprint bursts rather than continuous sprinting.
• Stockpile a few Sprint Energy Bars using feathers, redstone, and golden apples (keep some golden apples in reserve for crafting) so you always have a backup when your energy runs dry in a pinch.
