    Description:

Spike Jump Builder turns Minecraft into a fast-paced, side-scrolling, lane-locked build-and-run minigame: use left/right to change lanes and Jump to cross platforms, ride quartz-stair slopes and dodge single, double and triple pointed-dripstone spikes on floors, ceilings and in mid-air to reach large-hitbox emerald finishes while gold checkpoints respawn you and levels give an initial forward velocity for consistent starts. Special trigger surfaces switch you between five distinct gamemodes — Normal running, Pink Flying, Red Gravity Ball (Space to climb, Shift to drop), Purple/Magenta Spider (Space teleports you up and flips gravity, Shift returns you), and Cyan Submarine (Space to rise, Shift to dive) — with a concise boss-bar guide at the top of the screen; platformer saves grant free movement and bounds, platformer runs can enter any gamemode without losing free movement, and you can manually switch modes with /sjb mode <normal|flying|ball|spider|submarine>. Spawn features include an in-world noticeboard whose back panel now shows 10 recent global levels in two rows of five on outward-facing wall signs so they’re readable from behind, a tour-guide NPC named Wulzy who walks new players through everything, and commands such as /sjb main, /sjb platformer, /sjb start name, /sjb buildkit, /sjb save name radius, /sjb list, /sjb quit, /sjb global, the secret /lsc secret_level and the hidden long course available via /secret_("_")_/ 1 that cycles every gamemode and introduces The Crawler.

    Spike Jump Builder

    Quickstart

    1. Join a world with the mod installed. You'll spawn near an in-world noticeboard and a tour-guide NPC named Wulzy — right-click Wulzy to get a guided introduction to everything.
    2. Run /sjb main to go to the main hub, or /sjb platformer to enter the platformer lobby.
    3. To play a level, run /sjb start <name> or pick one from the noticeboard (the back panel lists 10 recent global levels).
    4. Use Left/Right to change lanes, Jump to leap between platforms, and reach the emerald block finish to complete the level.
    5. If you want to build your own level, run /sjb buildkit to receive building tools, then /sjb save <name> <radius> when you're done.

    Overview

Spike Jump Builder transforms Minecraft into a fast-paced, side-scrolling, lane-locked platformer. You run forward automatically at a consistent starting velocity, dodge spike obstacles, ride slopes, collect checkpoints, and race to the finish. Levels can be shared globally, and a rich set of gamemodes — each with unique movement — keeps the gameplay varied. A boss bar at the top of the screen always tells you which mode you're in and what controls to use.

    What It Adds

    Obstacles & Terrain

    ElementDescription
Pointed Dripstone SpikesLethal on contact. Appear as single, double, or triple spikes on floors, ceilings, or floating in mid-air. They have no solid collision — touching them kills you rather than stopping you.
Quartz Stair SlopesRamp surfaces you ride to change vertical height smoothly.
Gold CheckpointsRespawn you at that point if you die later in the level.
Emerald FinishLarge hitbox goal block — reach it to complete the level.

    Gamemodes

Special trigger surfaces placed in levels switch your active gamemode. Each mode has distinct movement and controls, shown at all times in the boss bar.

    ModeColourSpaceShift
    NormalDefaultJump—
    FlyingPinkRise/fly freely—
    Gravity BallRedClimb upwardDrop downward
SpiderPurple / MagentaTeleport up & flip gravityReturn to normal gravity
    SubmarineCyanRiseDive

    How To Use

    Movement

    • Left / Right — change lanes (side-scrolling is lane-locked)
    • Jump / Space — jump or mode-specific upward action
    • Shift — mode-specific downward action (Ball, Spider, Submarine)
    • Forward movement is automatic; levels apply an initial forward velocity so every run starts consistently.

    The Boss Bar

A concise boss bar at the top of the screen always displays your current gamemode and its relevant controls. Consult it whenever you enter a new trigger zone.

    Checkpoints & Death

Landing on a gold checkpoint sets your respawn point. When you die (from spikes or falling), you reappear at the last checkpoint you touched, or at the level start if none have been reached.

    Platformer Mode & Free Movement

    • /sjb platformer — enters Platformer mode, which grants free movement and relaxed bounds.
    • In Platformer mode you can enter any gamemode via trigger surfaces without losing your free movement privileges.
    • You can also force a gamemode at any time with: /sjb mode <normal|flying|ball|spider|submarine>

    Building Levels

    1. Run /sjb buildkit to receive a kit of building blocks and tools.
    2. Construct your level using dripstone spikes, quartz stairs, gold blocks (checkpoints), emerald blocks (finish), and trigger surfaces for gamemodes.
    3. When finished, run /sjb save <name> <radius> to save the level under a chosen name.
    4. Share it globally with /sjb global so other players can find and play it.

    Useful build commands:

    /sjb save <name> <radius>Saves your level

    /sjb globalSubmits/views global levels

    Secrets & Hidden Content

    • Secret Level: Run /lsc secret_level to access a hidden challenge level.
    • The Long Course: Run /secret_("_")_/ 1 to unlock a hidden extended course that cycles through every gamemode and introduces a special obstacle called The Crawler.

    Spawn & The Noticeboard

When you first join, you appear near an in-world noticeboard. The back panel of the noticeboard displays 10 recent global levels arranged in two rows of five on outward-facing wall signs — walk around to the back to read them. The tour-guide NPC Wulzy stands nearby; right-clicking him walks you through the mod's features step by step.

    Progression And Strategy

    • Learn each gamemode individually. Normal and Flying are the most forgiving; Gravity Ball and Spider demand quick reflexes with flipping gravity.
    • Checkpoint hunting. Prioritise touching every gold block you see — dying without a checkpoint sends you all the way back to the start.
    • Spike patterns. Levels mix floor, ceiling, and floating dripstone in single/double/triple configurations. Memorise patterns on repeat attempts; spikes have no collision, so there is no "nudging past" them — any touch is fatal.
    • Use Platformer mode to practice. Entering via /sjb platformer and using trigger surfaces lets you explore gamemode mechanics with free movement before committing to a scored run.
    • Build to learn. Creating your own level with /sjb buildkit is one of the best ways to understand obstacle placement and trigger surface positioning.
