Sniffasuoras

Quickstart

1. Open your Creative inventory and find the Sniffasuoras Spawn Egg and Sniffamuras Spawn Egg in the Spawn Eggs tab.
2. Right-click the ground with either egg to spawn the creature.
3. Both creatures also spawn naturally in Overworld biomes, so you may simply stumble across one while exploring.
4. Stand back and watch — these are large, aggressive Sniffer-like beasts that hunt fish and (in Sniffamuras's case) hostile mobs on their own.
5. They will not attack you or other players; feel free to approach and observe them safely.

Overview

Sniffasuoras adds two oversized, Sniffer-styled creatures to the Overworld: the Sniffasuoras, a sturdy fish-hunting beast, and its bigger, tougher cousin Sniffamuras, a guardian-like predator that also fights off hostile mobs. Both look and move like giant Sniffers, but instead of digging for ancient seeds, they actively stalk and attack prey in the world around them.

What It Adds

Each creature has its own matching spawn egg, found in the Spawn Eggs item group.

How To Use

• Spawning: Use the spawn eggs to place either creature anywhere, or explore Overworld biomes to find them living naturally. Sniffamuras spawns less frequently and in smaller groups than Sniffasuoras.
• Behavior to expect:
  • Both creatures wander, swim, and look around like normal passive animals.
  • They actively hunt down and attack fish in the area.
  • Sniffamuras additionally targets and fights hostile mobs (like zombies and skeletons) that wander near it, prioritizing them over fish.
  • Neither creature will ever attack players or other peaceful mobs — they are safe to be around.
• Combat tip: If you want to see them in action, lead a hostile mob or some fish nearby and watch the Sniffamuras or Sniffasuoras engage automatically.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Sniffasuoras: Tanky and moderately fast, with strong melee damage focused entirely on hunting fish.
• Sniffamuras: Larger, tougher, faster, and hits harder than Sniffasuoras. It has a wide detection range and will seek out and destroy hostile mobs before turning its attention to fish, acting as a natural guardian against monsters in its area.
• Both creatures swim and defend against threats to fish the way a normal Sniffer would move, but with combat capability layered on top.
• Neither creature can be tempted or tamed like a normal Sniffer — they behave as independent wild predators.

Progression And Strategy

There is no crafting chain for these creatures — access them directly through their spawn eggs or by finding them in the wild. Because Sniffamuras clears out nearby hostile mobs, keeping one nearby can help protect an outdoor base or exploration camp from monsters at night. Sniffasuoras, meanwhile, is useful to watch near water, where it will thin out fish populations. Neither creature drops unique loot beyond what comes from any experience gained by defeating them, so their main value is as living hazards-clearers and ambient wildlife rather than resource sources.
