Sleepwalking Leviathan War

Quickstart

1. Start with the items in your inventory. On your first spawn, you receive a Dreambuilder, four Capture Orbs, three Basic Power Gems, and a Determination Soul.
2. Use the Dreambuilder to open its menu. Try Build Dreamroot Forest or Describe a Dream Structure first.
3. Find a Pokémon-style creature—Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, or Bulbasaur—and use a Capture Orb while it is within six blocks. Captured creatures are recorded in your collection.
4. Craft a Technology Forge when you obtain a Technology Core. Place the forge and interact with it to upgrade your Power Gem progression or create another Technology Core.
5. Build your combat equipment. Upgrade your Gems toward Ultimate, craft a Reality Lance, and prepare Reality Lance Ammo.
6. Challenge The Leviathan from the Dreambuilder menu when you are ready. The encounter is intended for an underwater or ocean arena.

Overview

Sleepwalking Leviathan War combines exploration, supernatural powers, creature collecting, technology, custom building, and boss battles.

The central gameplay loop is:

• Build themed regions and structures with the Dreambuilder.
• Explore for Gems, Souls, Technology Cores, rare materials, and clues.
• Collect four Pokémon-style companions.
• Advance through the five Power Gem stages.
• Survive reality distortion as your health falls.
• Enter the deep ocean and defeat The Leviathan.

What It Adds

Themed Regions

The Dreambuilder can create five themed regions at your current location:

These are built directly around you rather than functioning as distant destinations. Each regional build grants 25 Exploration XP.

Custom Materials And Blocks

The mod includes:

• Dreamroot
• Forger Steel
• Reality Crystal
• Technology Forge

Dreamroot can be mined with an axe. Forger Steel and Reality Crystal are pickaxe-minable blocks. The Technology Forge is the main workstation for Gem progression and technology.

Creatures

The current creature collection contains:

• Pikachu
• Eevee
• Charmander
• Bulbasaur

They can spawn naturally in suitable environments and can also be created with their spawn eggs. Creatures have individual behaviors, variants, breeding rules, and interactions. Captured creatures can be released as companions through the Dreambuilder.

Power Gems

Power Gems progress through five stages:

1. Basic
2. Refined
3. Awakened
4. Overcharged
5. Ultimate

Special variants include Ancient, Corrupted, Perfect, Reality, Forger, and Lost Gems. Some variants are rare collectibles rather than steps in the normal upgrade chain.

Souls

Soul items provide another progression path. Determination and Wrath Souls can be combined with an Awakened Power Gem to create a Pure Soul.

The Leviathan

The Leviathan is a gigantic underwater boss with 500 health, strong melee attacks, underwater movement, and two combat phases. Defeating it grants a major XP reward and rare Gems.

Dreambuilder

The Dreambuilder can create:

• Houses
• Fortresses
• Arenas
• Bases
• Bridges
• Other described structures

You choose a description and a scale from 1x to 3x. The structure is created at your position.

How To Use

Dreambuilder Menu

Hold the Dreambuilder and use it to open the menu. It displays:

• Your current region
• Your current Gem stage
• Your creature collection count
• Available region builds
• Structure creation
• Companion release
• The Leviathan encounter

Choose a regional build to create a themed platform and walls around yourself. Choose Describe a Dream Structure to enter a description and select its scale.

The structure prompt recognizes descriptions such as:

• house
• fortress
• arena
• base
• bridge

Fortresses and arenas use Forger Steel. Other standard structures use Dreamroot. Bridges include Reality Crystal supports, while arenas receive a Reality Crystal floor. A completed custom structure grants 50 Exploration XP.

Technology Forge

Place the Technology Forge and interact with it. Its menu provides:

• Upgrade held Gem
• Synchronize Awakened Gem
• Craft a Technology Core

The forge also displays your current Gem progression and the remaining time on an active synchronization.

The Technology Forge can be crafted with .

Capturing Creatures

Capture Orbs can be used on the nearest supported creature within six blocks.

1. Approach a Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, or Bulbasaur.
2. Hold a Capture Orb.
3. Use the orb while the creature is close.
4. Check the Dreambuilder menu to see your collection count.

A newly captured creature grants 75 XP. The captured creature is removed from the world and recorded in your collection.

Releasing A Companion

Once your collection contains at least one creature:

1. Use the Dreambuilder.
2. Select Release followed by the listed creature.
3. The creature appears beside you as a companion.

Released companions remain associated with you and are brought back near you if they wander too far. The Dreambuilder releases the first creature shown in your collection.

Crafting And Obtaining

Basic Building Materials

Dreamroot is crafted from Oak Logs and Glow Berries:

Forger Steel is crafted from Iron Ingots and a Fire Charge:

Reality Crystal is crafted from Amethyst Shards and a Diamond:

Technology Cores can be obtained through exploration and from the Technology Forge menu. A Technology Core is also required to craft the forge itself.

Dreambuilder

The Dreambuilder requires Redstone, Diamonds, Reality Crystals, and an Ender Pearl:

Power Gem Recipes

Use the following crafting chain to advance your Gems:

• Refined Power Gem: eight Basic Power Gems and an Amethyst Shard —
• Awakened Power Gem: eight Refined Power Gems and a Diamond —
• Overcharged Power Gem: eight Awakened Power Gems and a Gold Ingot —
• Ultimate Power Gem: four Overcharged Power Gems, four Technology Cores, and a Nether Star —

You can also upgrade Gems one stage at a time through the Technology Forge. The forge consumes the required stage Gem and gives you the next stage while granting 100 XP.

Souls

A Pure Soul requires Determination Souls, Wrath Souls, and an Awakened Power Gem:

The initial Determination Soul is supplied when you first spawn. Search the world for additional Soul items and rare materials.

Reality Lance

The Reality Lance is a ranged weapon that also deals five points of base melee damage. It fires Reality Bolts using Reality Lance Ammo from your inventory or offhand.

Craft the weapon with an Ultimate Power Gem and Forger Steel:

Craft 16 Reality Lance Ammo from an Iron Ingot and a Copper Ingot:

To fire:

1. Put the Reality Lance in your hand.
2. Keep Reality Lance Ammo in your inventory or offhand.
3. Use the lance to launch a Reality Bolt.

Reality Bolts deal approximately 3–5 projectile damage and apply knockback on impact. They do not require charging before firing.

Abilities And Mechanics

Gem Synchronization

The Technology Forge can temporarily synchronize an Awakened Gem.

To synchronize:

1. Reach at least the Awakened stage in your Gem progression.
2. Have an Awakened Power Gem available.
3. Interact with the Technology Forge.
4. Select Synchronize Awakened Gem.

The Awakened Gem is consumed and a Reality Gem is created. The synchronization lasts for 30 minutes, after which it expires.

The Reality Gem is separate from the permanent Basic-to-Ultimate crafting chain.

Creature Behaviors

Creatures can be found in different environments and may appear in groups, as babies, or with visual variants.

Pikachu commonly appears in surface environments such as taiga, deserts, flower forests, snowy slopes, groves, meadows, and cherry groves. Eevee favors surface taiga and related forest environments. Bulbasaur appears on grass in animal-tagged biomes during daylight.

Spawn eggs are available for all four creatures when you want to place one directly.

Reality Damage

Reality reacts to low health. When your health falls below roughly 65%, you begin receiving distortion effects:

• Nausea
• Weakness
• Slowness at lower health
• Darkness when critically injured
• Portal-like particles
• A reality distortion message on the action bar

The effects become stronger as your health decreases. Heal before entering a difficult fight, especially against The Leviathan.

Player Levels

The mod tracks XP and levels separately from normal Minecraft experience.

Each level requires an increasing amount of XP:

• Level 1 to 2 requires 100 XP.
• Level 2 to 3 requires 200 XP.
• Each following level requires 100 more XP than the previous threshold.

• Level 4: Speed
• Level 5: Night Vision

The Pokémon-Style Collection

The collection tracks four creatures, shown as a count out of four in the Dreambuilder menu.

Pikachu

Pikachu is a small, fast-moving creature that avoids players and hostile mobs. It can appear with different coats depending on its environment. Use carrots, golden carrots, or dandelions for breeding.

Eevee

Eevee can be found in several taiga and forest environments. Use a bone to attempt to tame one. Once tamed, Eevee can follow you, teleport back when it is far away, and attack certain targets.

Charmander

Charmander can be tamed with fish or salmon. A tamed Charmander follows its owner and can be bred with another tamed Charmander using fish or salmon. Different color and coat variants may appear.

Bulbasaur

Bulbasaur appears on bright grass surfaces in animal biomes, often in groups. Feed wheat to two Bulbasaurs to breed them. Baby Bulbasaurs grow over time and can also be created through breeding.

The Leviathan

Starting The Encounter

You can encounter The Leviathan in two ways:

• Find it naturally underwater.
• Use the Dreambuilder and select Leviathan Deep-Ocean Encounter.
• Use The Leviathan Spawn Egg in Creative play.

The Dreambuilder summons the boss below and near your current position, so use the encounter option over a prepared ocean arena or underwater battleground.

Combat

The Leviathan:

• Has 500 health.
• Moves and breathes underwater.
• Can swim and breach the surface.
• Attacks nearby players.
• Deals heavy melee damage.
• Targets players and certain aquatic creatures.

Stay mobile and avoid fighting it in a cramped space. Bring healing, underwater equipment, and ranged weapons. The Reality Lance is especially useful when you need to keep your distance.

Abyssal Phase

The encounter begins in the Abyssal Phase. The Leviathan periodically releases a powerful underwater pulse that:

• Damages nearby players.
• Produces a sonic explosion effect.
• Applies Mining Fatigue.

Riftstorm Phase

At below half health, The Leviathan enters the Riftstorm Phase. Its name changes, the roar plays again, and its pulse:

• Happens more often.
• Reaches farther.
• Deals significantly more damage.
• Continues to apply Mining Fatigue.

Prepare an escape route before starting the fight. A surface platform or nearby air pocket can prevent the battle from becoming an underwater emergency.

Rewards

When The Leviathan is defeated, players within 48 blocks receive:

• One Ultimate Power Gem
• One Lost Gem
• 500 XP

The boss can also drop prismarine materials, fish, and prismarine crystals. The Lost Gem is one of the rarest progression rewards in the encounter.

Progression And Strategy

Recommended Order

1. Use the starting Dreambuilder to create a safe base or arena.
2. Explore for Forger Steel materials, Reality Crystals, Technology Cores, and Souls.
3. Capture creatures before fighting them or harvesting their drops.
4. Craft Refined and Awakened Gems.
5. Place a Technology Forge and use it to advance your player Gem stage.
6. Synchronize an Awakened Gem when you need a temporary Reality Gem.
7. Continue toward an Ultimate Power Gem.
8. Craft the Reality Lance and stock up on Ammo.
9. Build an arena near the ocean and summon The Leviathan.
10. Use the Ultimate and Lost Gem rewards to continue exploring and collecting.

Survival Tips

• Keep your health high to avoid reality distortion.
• Carry extra food before using the Leviathan encounter.
• Use a prepared arena with a clear escape route.
• Capture nearby creatures before engaging hostile mobs.
• Upgrade your Gem stage before attempting the boss.
• Use the Dreambuilder’s regional builds as landmarks and safe bases.
• Make use of the level benefits: Resistance, Speed, and Night Vision significantly improve exploration.
• Bring ranged equipment for the Riftstorm Phase, when staying close to The Leviathan becomes much more dangerous.

Search structures, underground spaces, ocean ruins, and custom builds for:

Not every rare Gem is part of the standard upgrade chain. Treat unusual variants as collectibles, fusion materials, or special progression discoveries until you learn their role.
