Quickstart

1. Craft the Skystep Medallion using the recipe below, then place it in your main hand.
2. Walk off a ledge or move over a gap — a glass platform will automatically appear beneath your feet whenever you are 1–2 blocks above solid ground, letting you stroll through the air.
3. Crouch (sneak) for a moment to remove the glass tile directly under your feet and drop down one level.
4. Unequip the medallion to clear all your glass platforms instantly.

Overview

The Skystep Medallion is a rare, hand-held tool for Minecraft Bedrock (version 1.21.93) that lets you walk on air. As long as you hold it, invisible logic lays temporary glass tiles under your feet whenever you step over open space that sits only 1–2 blocks above the ground (or any solid surface). The result is effortless air-walking — no jump-bridging required.

Abilities And Mechanics

Automatic Glass Platforms

Whenever you hold the medallion in your main hand and your feet are over an air block that is 1–2 blocks above a solid (non-air, non-liquid) block, the mod places a glass tile directly beneath your feet. This lets you continue walking as if on solid ground.

• Platforms appear automatically — no button press needed.
• Each glass tile lasts 2 seconds (40 ticks) before it is removed, so platforms disappear behind you as you move.
• Platforms are only created when your feet are over empty air; if you are already standing on solid ground no glass is placed.

Crouch to Step Down

Press and hold Sneak (crouch) to remove the glass tile currently beneath your feet. This drops you one level, letting you descend in a controlled way rather than falling all the way to the ground.

Putting the Medallion Away

The moment you switch to a different item or remove the medallion from your hand, all of your active glass platforms are cleaned up immediately.

You can also repair it at an anvil using diamonds (each diamond restores roughly 390 durability). The medallion can be enchanted using sword-compatible enchantments.

Progression And Strategy

• Early exploration: Use the medallion to cross ravines, rivers, or lava lakes by simply walking across without building a bridge.
• Building helper: Hover in mid-air while placing blocks beneath you; the auto-platform gives you a stable footing for a couple of seconds.
• Controlled descent: Tap Sneak repeatedly to step down one glass-tile level at a time — useful for carefully descending cliffs or tall structures.
• Mind the timer: Platforms vanish after 2 seconds, so keep moving forward. Stopping mid-gap will eventually drop you when the tile expires.
• Durability: The medallion loses 1 durability on every valid platform-placement action. Carry spare diamonds for anvil repairs on long journeys.
