- Equip the blade in your main hand and start hitting enemies.
- Watch your action bar — every successful hit increases the blade's damage and shows your current stack count and total damage in real time.
Overview
The Skygard Crescendo Blade is a melee weapon designed to complement the Skygard armor set. What makes it unique is its permanently escalating power: every successful hit lands slightly harder than the last, with no upper limit on how strong it can become. The longer you fight with the same blade, the more dangerous it grows.
What It Adds
- Skygard Crescendo Blade — a rare, enchant-eligible melee sword with a crescendo mechanic that permanently increases its damage with each hit.
Abilities And Mechanics
Crescendo — Permanent Damage Scaling
- The blade starts with a base damage of 1.
- Every successful hit that lands on an entity permanently adds 1% of the base damage (i.e., +0.01 damage) to all future hits.
- Stacks accumulate indefinitely and are stored on the specific item — the blade remembers its history even across play sessions.
- The bonus damage is applied as a separate hit on top of the blade's normal attack, so stacks are additive and continuous.
Action Bar Feedback
After each hit, your action bar displays:
Crescendo Blade — Stacks: <n> | Damage: <total>
This lets you track exactly how powerful your blade has become at a glance.
Crafting And Obtaining
The Skygard Crescendo Blade is crafted at a Crafting Table using diamonds and a stick:
It has 1,561 durability and can be repaired using Diamonds in an anvil (each diamond restores 390 durability). It supports all standard sword enchantments (Sharpness, Looting, Unbreaking, etc.) and displays an enchantment glint even without enchantments applied.
Progression And Strategy
- Early game: The blade starts weak (base damage 1), so combine it with enchantments like Sharpness to compensate until stacks build up.
- Mid game: After dozens of hits, the accumulated bonus damage becomes meaningful. Prioritize using the same blade consistently rather than swapping weapons.
- Late game: With hundreds of stacks, the Crescendo Blade can become extraordinarily powerful. Protect it — losing the item means losing all accumulated stacks.
- Key tip: Only hits that actually connect and register an effect increment the stack counter. Make your swings count.
- Pair with Skygard armor for a thematically matched and synergistic combat loadout.
