- Equip the Skygard Crescendo Blade and start hitting enemies.
- Watch the action bar — after each hit you'll see ✦ Crescendo ×N climbing upward as your damage doubles with every strike.
Overview
The Skygard Crescendo Blade is a powerful melee sword designed to match the Skygard armor set. Its defining trait is a permanently escalating damage multiplier: every enemy you hit doubles the blade's total damage output, and that multiplier never resets — not from standing still, not from logging out. The longer you fight, the more devastating each swing becomes.
What It Adds
| Item | Rarity | Durability | Enchantability |
|---|
| Skygard Crescendo Blade | Rare (enchant glow) | 1,561 uses | Sword slot (value 10) |
The blade appears in the Equipment tab of your inventory and counts as a sword for all sword-compatible enchantments and game mechanics.
How To Use
- Attack any entity with the blade to trigger the Crescendo effect.
- After each successful hit, your Crescendo multiplier doubles: ×2 → ×4 → ×8 → ×16, and so on indefinitely.
- Total damage dealt per hit = 1 × current multiplier (the engine applies the base hit, then the bonus damage is added immediately after).
- The current multiplier is displayed on your action bar in cyan after every hit:
✦ Crescendo ×8 (doubles forever)
- The multiplier is permanent and persistent — it saves across sessions and does not decay from inactivity.
Crafting And Obtaining
The blade requires late-game materials: Diamonds for structure, an Eye of Ender for arcane power, an Amethyst Shard at the core, and a Stick for the handle. It is crafted at a standard Crafting Table.
Repairing: The blade can be repaired using Diamonds at an Anvil (each Diamond restores 390 durability points).
Abilities And Mechanics
Crescendo Multiplier
- Starts at ×1 (base damage: 1) on first pickup or first use.
- Each successful hit on any entity permanently doubles the multiplier.
- The multiplier stacks multiplicatively with no upper cap: ×2, ×4, ×8, ×16, ×32 …
- The multiplier is tied to you (the attacker), not the blade item itself — switching weapons and switching back retains your multiplier.
- Multiplier data persists through world reloads and sessions.
Action Bar Feedback
Every successful hit updates your action bar with the new multiplier, so you always know exactly how powerful your current Crescendo state is.
Enchanting
Because the blade occupies the sword enchantment slot, it accepts all standard sword enchantments (Sharpness, Looting, Fire Aspect, etc.) at an Enchanting Table or Anvil, further amplifying its already-growing power.
Progression And Strategy
- Early game: The blade starts weak (base damage 1), so use other weapons until you've built up several Crescendo stacks on weaker mobs.
- Snowball efficiently: Farm stacks on groups of mobs or in combat-heavy situations before tackling bosses or the Ender Dragon.
- Never reset: Because the multiplier never resets, a well-played Crescendo Blade becomes one of the strongest weapons in your world over time. Protect your durability — repair with Diamonds to avoid losing the sword.
- Pair with the Skygard set: The blade visually and thematically matches the Skygard armor, making it the natural companion weapon for that armor set.
- Enchant early: Adding Looting and Fire Aspect before you start stacking multipliers amplifies every single hit from the very beginning of your Crescendo climb.
