Quickstart

1. Punch through the world to gather basic materials, then craft a Reforge Anvil, Equipment Bench, Page Maker, and Spell Binder — the core stations for this mod's endgame gear progression.
2. Mine the new ores you find underground and in the Nether: Mithril Ore (and its variants), Meteorite Ore, Cobalt Ore, Runic Ore, and Lunaric Ore. Smelt the raw materials into ingots.
3. Craft a set of Meteorite tools and armor, then upgrade further into Ancient Meteorite or Lunaric gear once you have rarer ingredients.
4. Build a Yoyo (wood → stone → iron → diamond → netherite) for a fun melee/thrown weapon alternative to swords.
5. Craft a Whip or the Magic Boomerang for ranged utility, and grab an Aspect of the End for teleport-strike combat.
6. Set up automated Minions (Coal Minion, Iron Minion, and more) to passively gather resources for you.
7. Head into obsidian towers rising from Nether lava seas to hunt Nether Fiends and other dangerous beasts guarding rare loot.

Overview

Skyforge Ascension adds an equipment and automation progression layer built around hunting hostile creatures in the Nether's obsidian towers. You'll mine unique ores, forge upgraded tool and armor tiers, socket gemstones into gear, enchant items through a custom spellbook system, and automate resource gathering with minions — all while surviving encounters with tougher Nether-native monsters like the Nether Fiend and the Meteor Monster.

What It Adds

New Ores & Materials

Gemstones — Rough Amethyst, Ruby, Jade, Jasper, Sapphire, Amber, Topaz, Aquamarine, Onyx, Citrine, and Peridot gemstones can be cut and turned into gemstone blocks, used for socketing gear at the Socket Puncher.

Crafting & Utility Stations

• Reforge Anvil – reforge and reroll gear stats.
• Equipment Bench – craft advanced gear and upgrades.
• Socket Puncher – punch gem sockets into weapons and armor.
• Page Maker – create magical pages/scrolls.
• Spell Binder – bind spells to gear using a spellbook.

Gear Sets — Meteorite, Ancient Meteorite, and Lunaric full tool and armor sets (sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe, helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots), plus Cobalt tools/armor.

Weapons — Wooden, Stone, Iron, Diamond, and Netherite Yoyos; a Whip; the Magic Boomerang; and Aspect of the End (a teleporting sword).

Minions — Passive automated gathering companions such as the Coal Minion and Iron Minion, plus upgrade items (Auto Smelter, Fuel Upgrade, Compactor, Super Compactor, Storage Expansion, Diamond Spreading) that improve minion efficiency and storage.

Enchanted Blocks — Enchanted Quartz Block and Enchanted Lapis Lazuli Block, used in crafting powerful artifacts like the Stylebender Artifact.

Hostile Creatures — Nether Fiend (found in obsidian Nether towers) and the Meteor Monster (guards meteorite-related loot).

How To Use

• Mining: Find the listed ores in the overworld, deepslate layers, and Nether. Smelt raw ore drops in a furnace or blast furnace to get usable ingots.
• Crafting Gear: Use ingots at a normal crafting table or the Equipment Bench for higher-tier items. Upgrade Diamond Yoyo into a Netherite Yoyo using a smithing table with a netherite upgrade template.
• Socketing & Reforging: Punch sockets into gear with the Socket Puncher, insert cut gemstones for bonus stats, then use the Reforge Anvil to adjust and improve item stats over time.
• Spells: Craft a Spellbook and use the Spell Binder to attach magical effects to your equipment.
• Minions: Place a minion item in the world like a block/entity to have it start automatically farming or mining nearby resources. Feed it upgrade items to increase speed, storage, and output.
• Hunting: Travel into the Nether and look for ruined obsidian towers rising out of lava seas — these are home to Nether Fiends and rare drops used in high-tier crafting.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Socketing: Gemstones inserted into sockets grant passive bonuses (offense, defense, or utility depending on gem type).
• Reforging: Randomizes or improves item modifiers, letting you chase better rolls on your gear over time.
• Spellbinding: Attach spell effects to weapons and armor for extra combat utility beyond vanilla enchantments.
• Minions: Once placed, minions work automatically over time, storing gathered resources that you collect periodically. Upgrade items make them faster, hold more items, auto-smelt drops, or compact stacks into blocks.
• Yoyos: Function as a returning throwable melee weapon — throw to strike enemies, then it returns to your hand.
• Aspect of the End: Teleports you toward your target when you attack, similar to an ender pearl strike.

Progression And Strategy

Start with Meteorite gear crafted from smelted Meteorite Ingots — a solid mid-game upgrade over iron/diamond equipment. Push into Cobalt and Runic materials for alternate gear branches, and work toward Ancient Meteorite and Lunaric equipment as top-tier upgrades. Build out your minion farm early to passively stockpile resources while you gear up. Once you have a Reforge Anvil, Socket Puncher, and Spell Binder available, focus on socketing gemstones and binding spells to maximize your gear's power before heading into the Nether's obsidian towers to face down Nether Fiends and Meteor Monsters for further materials and challenge.
