Skybolt Cruiser

Quickstart

1. Craft the Skybolt Cruiser structure item using the recipe below (you'll also automatically receive this recipe when you join the world).
2. Find a wide open area — the cruiser is a large multiblock aircraft, so give yourself plenty of clear space.
3. Place the item on the ground. It will build a full 6x6x6 aircraft structure facing away from you.
4. Right-click the structure to hop in and take off.
5. Steer with your mouse, hold W to throttle up, S to slow down, and Ctrl (sprint key) to exit the cockpit.

Overview

Skybolt Cruiser adds a giant flyable aircraft that players can build in the world and pilot around the skies. Rather than a simple vehicle item, it's a multiblock structure — placing one item generates an entire detailed model made of many connected blocks, which then becomes a rideable, steerable flying vehicle capable of reaching high speeds.

What It Adds

• Skybolt Cruiser — the main placeable item/block that spawns the full aircraft structure.
• Skybolt Cruiser Part blocks — the many supporting pieces that make up the body, wings, and details of the aircraft. These are placed automatically and don't need to be crafted individually.
• A custom flying vehicle entity that renders the built structure as a controllable plane.
• An on-screen speed/control readout while riding.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Skybolt Cruiser using iron and simple household/utility parts:

This recipe is also automatically granted to every player when they join the world, so you don't need to search for it — it will already show up as known in your crafting book.

How To Use

1. Place it on flat, open ground or a large platform. The full structure builds itself around the block you placed, extending outward based on the direction you were facing.
2. Board it by right-clicking any part of the structure. You'll be mounted invisibly inside the cockpit area.
3. Fly it:
   • Look around with your mouse to steer — the cruiser flies in the direction you're looking.
   • Hold Forward (W) to accelerate.
   • Hold Back (S) to decelerate.
   • Press Sprint (Ctrl) to disembark and stop riding.
4. The camera automatically switches to third-person while riding so you can see the aircraft, and switches back to your previous view when you exit.
5. A HUD readout at the top of the screen shows your current speed in MPH along with basic control reminders.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Top speed: The cruiser can accelerate up to roughly 200 MPH at full throttle, with a minimum cruising speed once airborne.
• No gravity while flown: The aircraft holds altitude based on where you point the camera rather than falling, letting you climb, dive, and bank freely.
• Solid structure: The built aircraft has collision, so it can bump into terrain, other entities, and be bumped in return — fly carefully near obstacles.
• Single pilot: Only one player can board and control the cruiser at a time.
• Persistent build: Once placed, the structure remains as real blocks in the world, so it stays exactly where you left it even after logging out, until broken down.

Progression And Strategy

• Because the completed aircraft occupies a large 6x6x6 footprint, choose your placement spot carefully — flat plains, mountaintops, or custom airstrips work best.
• Practice slow throttle changes near the ground before pushing to full speed, since the cruiser gains momentum quickly.
• Use the cruiser for fast long-distance travel across your world once you're comfortable steering with the mouse-based flight controls.
