Shinobi Soulbound

Quickstart

Choose a path when its menu appears on your first join. If you need to open the menu later, use a Soulbound Scroll; craft one at a crafting table with:

Choose one of four paths to receive its starting gear. Try using your new item right away: throw kunai, fire a spirit bow, or use the katana or mask for its special ability. If you choose a different path later, your progression resets and your path gear is replaced.

Overview

Shinobi Soulbound lets you follow one of four combat paths inspired by Naruto and Bleach. Each path grants a signature item, a passive benefit, and—depending on the path—an active ability. Defeat mobs to gain path XP and level up.

What It Adds

How To Use

• Shinobi: Use the kunai to throw it at targets. It stacks up to 16.
• Soul Reaper: Attack with the katana for melee damage, or use it to unleash Soul Cleave against nearby non-player targets.
• Quincy: Use the longbow to fire spirit arrows. It draws ammo from your inventory or offhand.
• Hollow: Use the mask to roar at nearby non-player targets. The mask is used as an ability item rather than worn.
• Path menu: Use a Soulbound Scroll to choose a path. Choosing another path resets your level and XP, and replaces your path gear.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Soulbound Scroll opens the path menu. Quincy ammo is crafted at a crafting table:

Each batch makes 16 ammo. Quincy players receive 24 ammo when they choose that path.

Abilities And Mechanics

Your path grants a passive effect while you play:

• Shinobi: Speed; at level 5, the effect becomes stronger.
• Soul Reaper: Resistance; stronger at level 5.
• Quincy: Jump Boost; stronger at level 5.
• Hollow: Strength, stronger from level 3.

Soul Reaper’s Soul Cleave damages and slows nearby non-player targets within 4.5 blocks. Its damage increases at levels 3 and 5.

The Hollow roar weakens and slows nearby non-player targets, and grants you Resistance. Its range increases at level 5; its weakening effect improves at levels 3 and 5.

Soul Cleave and the roar each have a 5-second cooldown.

Progression And Strategy

Player kills grant 12 path XP. Your action bar shows your path, level, current XP, and XP needed for the next level. The first level requires 30 XP; each next level requires 15 more XP than the previous one.

Levels improve path bonuses and abilities at the milestones described above. Keep your signature gear handy: the Soul Reaper and Hollow active abilities are triggered by using their items, while the Shinobi and Quincy rely on thrown kunai and spirit arrows.
