Sharkwave Crusher

Quickstart

1. Obtain the Sharkwave Crusher from the Creative inventory’s Combat tab, craft it using the recipe below, or use: /give @s sharkwave-crusher-7bpfus6p:sharkwave_crusher_7bpfus6p
2. Hold it in either hand.
3. Press right-click to launch a towering horizontal tsunami.
4. Aim at a living creature and press middle-click to freeze it—and yourself—in place.
5. Try the tsunami in an open area first, then use Freeze on a tough target within 20 blocks.

The ability controls can be rebound in Options → Controls.

Overview

The Sharkwave Crusher is a durable combat item with two water-themed abilities:

• Tsunami sends a large moving wave forward, damaging and slowing living entities in its path.
• Freeze traps a living target inside an ice shell while also freezing the wielder.

Each ability has its own cooldown, and each successful activation uses 1 durability.

What It Adds

How To Use

Tsunami

Hold the Crusher in either hand and press right-click. The wave begins a short distance in front of you and travels in the direction you are facing horizontally.

• The wave is about 5 blocks wide and 8 blocks tall.
• It moves through the world for roughly 200 ticks.
• Each living entity can be hit only once by a given wave.
• The wave does not hit its owner.
• Successful use consumes 1 durability.
• Cooldown: 15 seconds.

If you use Tsunami during its cooldown, an action-bar message tells you that it is recharging.

Freeze

Hold the Crusher in either hand, aim at a living creature, and press middle-click.

• The target must be within 20 blocks.
• The target is enclosed by a temporary shell of ice.
• The target cannot move and takes magic damage about once per second.
• The freeze lasts for 8 seconds.
• The Crusher’s wielder is frozen at the same time.
• Successful use consumes 1 durability.
• Cooldown: 5 seconds.

If no living creature is in your aim, the ability does not activate and does not consume durability.

Crafting And Obtaining

The crafting recipe is automatically available in the recipe book. In Survival, craft the Sharkwave Crusher with the following recipe:

In Creative mode, the item is located in the Combat item group.

Abilities And Mechanics

Tsunami Damage

The wave deals magic damage based on how close an entity is to its center:

Entities struck by the wave also receive Slowness II for 2 seconds.

Tsunami follows your horizontal facing direction, so looking upward or downward does not make the wave travel vertically.

Freeze Effects

Freeze creates a temporary ring-like ice shell around the target and the wielder. While frozen:

• Movement is completely stopped.
• Severe Slowness is applied.
• The frozen entity takes 2 magic damage approximately once per second.
• The ice shell disappears when the effect ends.

The Crusher can be used again after its 5-second cooldown, even though an earlier freeze may still be active.

Durability

The Sharkwave Crusher has 1,024 durability. Tsunami and Freeze each consume 1 durability only when they activate successfully. It can be used with durability-related enchantments.

Progression And Strategy

• Gather ocean materials early if you want to craft the Crusher: nautilus shells, prismarine shards, and a heart of the sea are required.
• Use Tsunami against groups of enemies or large targets. Aim so the center of the wave passes through the most important target.
• Tsunami travels horizontally, making it especially useful across beaches, plains, shorelines, and other open terrain.
• Freeze is useful for stopping a dangerous creature before switching to another weapon, but remember that you are immobilized too.
• Keep distance from allies and friendly creatures when using Tsunami; it damages living entities in its path.
• Use Freeze only when you can survive standing still for 8 seconds.
• Repair or replace the Crusher before its durability is exhausted, especially if you rely on both abilities in extended fights.
