Shadowbane Blade

Quickstart

1. Obtain the blade by crafting it at a crafting table:

1. The recipe uses one wither rose, one netherite ingot, and one stick arranged vertically, with the wither rose on top.
2. Equip Shadowbane in your main hand.
3. Attack a mob normally. A successful hit instantly defeats the non-player mob.
4. Shadowbane can also be found in the Creative inventory under Equipment.

Overview

Shadowbane is an epic sword designed to defeat mobs in a single strike. It has extremely high attack damage and a special effect that instantly defeats valid non-player mobs when you hit them.

Players are excluded from the instant-defeat effect.

How To Use

Hold Shadowbane in your main hand and use your normal attack control to strike a mob. The instant-defeat effect activates on a successful hit.

The effect applies to non-player mobs, including hostile and passive mobs. Players are not instantly defeated by the blade’s special effect.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft Shadowbane at a crafting table using:

• 1 wither rose
• 1 netherite ingot
• 1 stick

The ingredients must be placed in a vertical line:

• Wither rose
• Netherite ingot
• Stick

In Creative mode, select the blade from the Equipment category.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Single-strike defeat: A successful hit instantly defeats the targeted non-player mob.
• High attack damage: Shadowbane has an attack damage value of 32,767.
• Durability: The blade has 5,000 durability. Strikes can consume durability.
• Enchantable: It can receive sword enchantments.
• Epic rarity: Shadowbane is marked as an epic item.
• Player protection: The special instant-defeat effect does not apply to players.

Progression And Strategy

Shadowbane requires a wither rose and a netherite ingot, making it a late-game weapon to craft. Save it for dangerous encounters, large mob groups, or fast clearing of hostile areas.

Because the blade can lose durability during use, avoid wasting strikes on targets you do not need to defeat. Use its instant-defeat effect to remove priority threats quickly.
