Description
Shadow Stalkers spawn naturally in the Overworld, so you may encounter one on any night — or even during the day in darker biomes. If you want to summon one on demand, find the Shadow Stalker Spawn Egg in the Spawn Eggs creative tab and right-click it on the ground. Come prepared: bring strong armour and a ranged weapon before engaging. Watch for its dash and smoke teleport, and press the attack when it is still far away.
Shadow Stalker adds a single powerful hostile mob to the Overworld: a tall, dark humanoid figure wreathed in drifting smoke particles. It hunts players with aggressive persistence, a long detection range of 40 blocks, and a suite of combat abilities that make it far more dangerous than a typical hostile mob. Defeating one yields rare drops and a large burst of experience.
| Content | Details |

The Shadow Stalker is not a passive threat — it uses several distinct abilities in combat:
A rapid forward lunge toward its target. The Stalker closes distance quickly, making ranged kiting unreliable if you are not careful with your positioning.
A sweeping melee attack with wide reach. It can catch players who think they are safely off to the side.
When the Shadow Stalker is wounded and in a desperate state, it vanishes in a burst of smoke and teleports to a new position. This makes it difficult to finish off without caution — always stay alert after landing heavy hits.
At night, the Shadow Stalker gains enhanced movement speed and increased strength. It is significantly more dangerous after dark than during the day. Always try to engage it in daylight if possible.
Encountering the Stalker Shadow Stalkers spawn throughout the Overworld. They have a follow range of 40 blocks, so they will detect and pursue you from a considerable distance. Groups of 1–6 can appear together, so be careful not to pull multiple at once.
Combat Tips
Rewards Defeating a Shadow Stalker drops Shadow Claws, Dark Essence, and 20 experience points — a generous payout that makes hunting them worthwhile once you are geared enough to handle them reliably.
