Quickstart

1. Gather 6 Prismarine Shards and 1 Iron Sword.
2. Open a crafting table and craft Samehada:

1. Equip Samehada and left-click to attack enemies — each hit deals 9 damage and applies debuffs.
2. To try the special ability, sneak and use (sneak + right-click/use button) to unleash an AOE burst around you.

Overview

Samehada is an epic-rarity sword with powerful on-hit debuffs and a unique life-drain ability. It is crafted from the sea — prismarine shards wrapped around an iron blade — and rewards aggressive, close-quarters combat with sustain and crowd control.

Abilities And Mechanics

On-Hit Effect (Normal Attack)

Every time Samehada hits an entity, it:

• Applies Weakness II for 2 seconds.
• Applies Nausea I for 2 seconds.
• Plays a swoosh sound at your location.

These debuffs stack with each successive hit, making Samehada excellent at suppressing players and mobs in sustained fights.

Special Ability — AOE Drain (Sneak + Use)

While sneaking, press your Use button (right-click / tap use) to activate Samehada's drain burst:

• Hits all other players within 5 blocks of you for 3 hearts (6 HP) each.
• Heals you for the total HP drained from all targets.
• If the healing would exceed your maximum health, the excess is converted into Absorption (bonus hearts).
• Plays a slashed sound on activation.
• Has a 25-second cooldown. If you activate it early, your action bar shows how many seconds remain.
• If no players are in range, your action bar shows a "no players in range" message.

Tip: The drain scales with how many players are nearby. Hitting multiple opponents at once can fully top off your health and grant extra absorption hearts.

Crafting And Obtaining

Samehada is crafted at a crafting table using an Iron Sword and Prismarine Shards. The recipe unlocks automatically once you have both ingredients in your inventory.

You can also repair Samehada using Diamonds on an anvil, restoring 406 durability per diamond.

Progression And Strategy

• Early game: Collect prismarine shards from ocean monuments or drowned, craft an iron sword, and forge Samehada as soon as possible. Its 9 damage rivals diamond-tier weapons.
• Enchanting: Samehada accepts all standard sword enchantments (Sharpness, Looting, Fire Aspect, etc.), making it even more dangerous as you progress.
• PvP: The AOE drain is most potent when surrounded by multiple players. Sneak into a group, activate the drain, and walk away healed — potentially with absorption on top.
• Cooldown management: The 25-second cooldown means timing matters. Save the drain for moments when you are low on health or outnumbered.
• Weakness II synergy: Weakened targets deal significantly less damage back to you, letting you trade favourably in direct combat even without activating the AOE.
