Quickstart

1. Gather netherite ingots along with a few special ingredients: a blaze rod, a nether star, an echo shard, and an enchanted golden apple.
2. Craft the four pieces of Ancient armor at a crafting table using the recipes below.
3. Equip all four pieces to unlock their passive effects and the full-set bonus.
4. Keep an eye on the action bar while wearing the leggings — it shows when their saturation pulse is active.

Overview

Runebound Netherite adds a set of four Ancient Netherite armor pieces — helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots — each imbued with a unique magical effect. Wearing individual pieces grants their own passive bonus, and wearing the entire set adds a powerful set-wide bonus on top. These are high-tier armor pieces meant to be crafted from stockpiled netherite and rare materials, rewarding players who have explored deep into the Nether and beyond.

What It Adds

Full Set Bonus: Wearing all four pieces together grants Resistance I as long as the full set stays equipped.

All four pieces are fire resistant and can be repaired at an anvil using netherite ingots, restoring durability plus a small bonus amount.

Crafting And Obtaining

Each armor piece is crafted at a crafting table using netherite ingots plus one special component:

Ancient Helmet — netherite ingots and an echo shard.

Ancient Chestplate — netherite ingots and a nether star.

Ancient Leggings — netherite ingots and an enchanted golden apple.

Ancient Boots — netherite ingots and a blaze rod.

Because each recipe requires rare ingredients such as a nether star or enchanted golden apple, assembling a full set is a significant late-game crafting project best undertaken once you have a steady supply of netherite.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Hero of the Village (Helmet): Grants the Hero of the Village status effect while worn, which can influence trades and defenses in villages.
• Absorption I (Chestplate): Refreshes automatically every five minutes while the chestplate stays equipped, giving you extra absorption hearts on a recurring basis.
• Saturation + Regeneration (Leggings): Every 60 seconds, you receive a 10-second burst of Saturation I and Regeneration I. The action bar displays a "saturation" indicator during the active pulse so you know when the effect is live.
• Jump Boost II (Boots): Constant increased jump height while the boots are worn.
• Resistance I (Full Set): Active only while all four Ancient armor pieces are equipped simultaneously; removing any piece ends the bonus immediately.

All effects are tied directly to what you have equipped — take a piece off and its effect stops right away, while re-equipping restores it (subject to each effect's own timing).

Progression And Strategy

Prioritize crafting the chestplate and leggings first for sustained survivability through Absorption and Regeneration, then round out the set with the helmet and boots for village utility and mobility. Completing the full set is the ultimate goal, since the Resistance bonus rewards committing to all four pieces rather than mixing Ancient armor with other gear. Keep spare netherite ingots on hand for anvil repairs so your set stays fire resistant and functional through extended Nether expeditions.
