Description:
Creative Mode: Use the Relic Portal Spawner item on any surface to instantly place a portal platform anywhere.
Relicbound turns Minecraft into a dungeon-crawler roguelite. You enter instanced, procedurally-built dungeons through Relic Portals found near villages. Inside, you navigate a branching network of rooms across up to 13 levels, collecting powerful Relics that grant passive effects while held. Survivors who push to the final level earn top-tier Relicsteel armor and the legendary Sword Of The Old Gods.
| Content | Description |
|---|---|
| Relic Portal | Block that launches a dungeon run when right-clicked |
| Relic Portal Spawner | Item that places a portal platform on any surface |
| Relics (38 types) | Held items with stacking passive effects |
| Relicsteel Armor (4 pieces) | Craftable endgame armor requiring relics + netherite |
| Sword Of The Old Gods | Overpowered sword found in the Level 13 reward chest |
| Combustion Bow | Bow whose arrows cause creeper-like explosions on impact |
| Combustion Arrows | Ammunition for the Combustion Bow |
| Relic Dungeon Wall | The indestructible block that forms dungeon walls |
Right-click any Relic Portal to start a run. The dungeon spawns as an instanced space and you are teleported to the Starter Room. Your overworld spawn is automatically set near the village where the portal stands, so dying outside the dungeon respawns you safely nearby.
The Starter Room is a protected area where no mobs can reach you. It contains:
Rooms are arranged as a branching node graph. Each room can connect to up to two onward paths, so you make route choices throughout the run. Your current level and room are displayed on screen. A room must be cleared before its exit doors open.
Room types you'll encounter:
| Room Type | What to Expect |
|---|---|
| Farm | Crops, occasional milk buckets |
| Cobweb | Spider swarms, webs slowing movement |
| Slime Block Arena | Bouncy floors, knockback combat |
| Poison Bog | Hazardous poison terrain |
| Trap Room | Environmental hazards |
| Mob Wave | Multiple waves of enemies |
| Elite Ambush | Powerful elite enemies |
| Relic Shrine | Pick up a free relic |
| Shop | Spend emeralds on items |
| Corridor | Well-lit passage rooms |
After clearing the required rooms, a level-advance portal appears. Right-click it to move to the next level. At Level 13, the final reward chest contains the Relicsteel armor set and the Sword Of The Old Gods. Right-click the exit portal to return to the overworld.
If you die inside a dungeon, you respawn at the Relic Portal in the overworld. Your items remain exactly where they dropped inside the dungeon. You can re-enter the same portal and retrieve everything.
Relics are held items — carry them in your inventory to activate their passive effects. Effects scale with stack count: holding multiple copies of the same relic increases its power. Relics drop from Relic Shrines, chests, elite kills, and shops inside dungeons.

The Combustion Bow fires Combustion Arrows that detonate on impact with a creeper-sized explosion (power 2.8), spawning flame and explosion particles. The explosion does not break blocks. The bow always fires Combustion Arrows regardless of what ammunition is in your inventory. Both items are provided free in the Starter Room chest at the beginning of every run.
Relicsteel armor is crafted at the crafting table using specific relics combined with Netherite armor pieces and diamond/emerald blocks. It is among the strongest armor in the game (42 durability multiplier, high protection values, toughness 4.5).
Relicsteel Helmet

Relicsteel Chestplate

Relicsteel Leggings

Relicsteel Boots

All four Relicsteel pieces require relics as crafting ingredients. Collect those relics during dungeon runs before attempting to craft.
| Item | How to Obtain |
|---|---|
| Relics | Relic Shrines, dungeon chests, elite kills, shops |
| Combustion Bow | Starter Room chest at the beginning of every run |
| Combustion Arrows | Starter Room chest; also found in dungeon loot |
| Sword Of The Old Gods | Level 13 final reward chest |
| Relicsteel Armor (set) | Level 13 final reward chest, or crafted with relics |
| Relic Portal Spawner | Creative inventory; can be placed to create a portal anywhere |
Early run: Use the free Combustion Bow from the Starter Room to safely burst down enemies from range. Drink the milk buckets before entering Poison Bog or Cobweb rooms to cure any status effects.
Mid run: Prioritize Relic Shrines and elite kills — more relics mean stronger stacking passive effects. The Magnet Relic is strong early since it automatically pulls emeralds for shop purchases. Pick up multiple copies of a single relic to maximize its stacking power.
Shop strategy: Save emeralds as you go. Shops appear periodically in the dungeon and let you buy additional relics or useful items. The Emerald Engine Relic converts your emerald wealth into speed and regeneration, making a coin-focused build viable.
Defense vs. offense: Tanky builds center on Golem Plating, Mirror Image, and Obsidian Bulwark for stacking Resistance. Glass-cannon builds stack Glass Cannon Relic for enormous Strength at the cost of extra damage taken — pair it with Vampiric Touch to sustain through kills.
Level 13 push: The dungeon has a fixed maximum of 13 levels. The final reward chest always contains the Relicsteel armor set and the Sword Of The Old Gods — this is the primary long-term goal of every run. If you die before reaching it, your items remain in the dungeon and you can re-enter to continue from where you left off.

Originally an empty CreativeMode starter project, this mod adds a Shared Chest Network mechanic to vanilla chests. Rename a Name Tag on an anvil and right‑click a chest to assign that custom network name (the tag is consumed in survival, and an unrenamed tag shows an action‑bar hint when used). Any chests that have the exact same name share a single inventory — opening or naming a chest binds it to that shared storage — and the contents persist across world reloads as long as at least one chest with that name remains.

The Cosmi Rod Hammer is a mighty, enchanted hammer that deals heavy damage and, on each melee hit, sends your target rocketing hundreds of blocks into the sky with a thunderous sound effect. Simply left-click enemies to unleash its cosmic knock-up power. You can also right-click in the air to play a deep anvil-strike sound and feel the hammer’s cosmic resonance.
The Spawnbind Wand is a magical tool that converts any living mob that has a vanilla spawn egg into that spawn egg and can also pick up mob spawners while preserving their spawn type. Right-click while aiming directly at a visible mob or at a spawner to capture it — the wand now works at any distance as long as the creature is under your cursor and unobstructed, and it intercepts direct right-clicks so even creatures with special interactions can be captured; it only works on eligible living mobs (not players, dead entities, or spectators). Captured mobs or spawners are removed and the corresponding spawn egg or spawner item is added to your inventory; the wand has a short cooldown and plays a very quiet conversion sound.

Thornroot Fang is a savage, curved blade grown from ancient jungle roots and infested with venomous vines and corrupted sap. Every third successful strike erupts thorny vines around your foe, ensnaring nearby mobs and inflicting Poison II for 5 seconds. While sneaking near any foliage, the fang’s organic magic camouflages you with temporary invisibility, letting you strike unseen.

Coalspike Barrens is a harsh new Overworld biome of stark stone where jagged cobblestone and stone spikes — up to 30 blocks high — rise from the ground; giant towers are a bit rarer while shorter multi-block spikes are noticeably more common, and spike columns are always supported down to nearby solid ground so they stay connected across slopes and pits (single-block pillars are absent). The surface and near-subsurface are solid stone with abundant coal (including larger and deepslate veins) and dramatic pits, plus vanilla-rate copper veins underground; when ore generates there is a rare 0.8% chance for a coal ore or a copper ore placement to instead be a Block of Coal or a Raw Copper Block respectively. There is no vegetation or passive wildlife, so come prepared with food, wood, and careful footing — this biome is excellent for coal harvesting but hazardous to traverse, simply find it in the Overworld to begin exploring.
