2. Equip it in your hotbar like any other pickaxe.

How To Use

Use the Ranch Digger exactly like a vanilla pickaxe:

• Hold it and mine any block that a pickaxe can break (stone, ores, deepslate, etc.).
• It mines at diamond pickaxe speed and can gather all blocks a diamond pickaxe can.
• It can be enchanted, repaired, and used in an anvil just like other pickaxes, since it's recognized as a pickaxe-type tool.

The Ranch Digger's recipe is automatically added to your recipe book when you join a world, so you don't need to hunt for the ingredients blind. You can craft it at a crafting table using:

Abilities And Mechanics

• Mining power: Equivalent to a diamond pickaxe — breaks the same blocks at the same speed, including blocks that require a diamond-tier tool.
• Durability: Can withstand roughly 1,561 uses before breaking, matching diamond pickaxe durability.
• Stacking: Like other tools, only one Ranch Digger can occupy a single inventory slot at a time.
• Tooltip flavor: Hovering over the item in your inventory shows a description calling it "A wooden-handled pickaxe coated in ranch dressing."

Progression And Strategy

Treat the Ranch Digger as a straightforward diamond pickaxe replacement — there's no special ability beyond its diamond-level mining and durability. Craft one early once you have iron, sugar, and sticks, and use it as your main mining tool for stone, ores, and deepslate until it wears out or you choose to upgrade to a netherite pickaxe via a smithing table (which still works if you want extra durability, since the tool behaves as a standard pickaxe).
