Prismatic Combo Blade

Quickstart

1. Craft the Prismatic Combo Blade at a Crafting Table using the recipe below.
2. Place it in your hand — it appears as a glowing rainbow pickaxe-style sword.
3. Hit any mob to see your current damage displayed on the action bar.
4. Strike the same mob (or different mobs) repeatedly within 1 second to build up your Combo multiplier and watch your damage skyrocket.

Overview

The Prismatic Combo Blade is an epic-rarity sword that rewards aggressive, rapid combat. Every melee hit fires a fan of four rainbow arrows, and chaining hits within a tight window stacks bonus damage — turning sustained offense into overwhelming burst power.

Abilities And Mechanics

Rainbow Projectiles

Every time you land a melee hit, four rainbow arrows instantly fire in a spread fan in front of you. Each arrow deals 10% of your current sword damage on impact. At base damage (25), that is 2.5 damage per arrow — up to 10 bonus damage per swing. As your combo climbs and your sword damage increases, so does each arrow's damage.

Combo System

Consecutive hits landed within 1 second of each other stack a combo counter. Each stack adds +10% of the base 25 damage as bonus melee damage:

If more than 1 second passes between hits, the combo resets to zero on the next hit.

Combo HUD

Your current combo and effective damage are shown on the action bar whenever you swing:

• No combo: ⚔ DMG: 25.0
• Active combo: COMBO x3 ⚔ 32.5 DMG (color cycles through the rainbow as stacks increase)

Progression And Strategy

• Open with melee, sustain with arrows. Your fan of four projectiles means you deal damage even when a mob retreats — keep pressing the attack to maintain your combo.
• Hit speed matters. You must land a hit at least once per second to keep stacking. Use knockback-reducing positioning or fight mobs that can't easily escape.
• High-combo payoff. At 10+ stacks, your total damage output per swing (melee + four arrows) can exceed 70 damage. Crowd fights or rapid target-switching both work well to maintain stacks.
• Repair with Diamonds. Each diamond restores 390 durability at an anvil.
• Enchant it. The blade accepts all standard sword enchantments (Sharpness, Looting, Fire Aspect, etc.), further amplifying its already powerful combo potential.
