Poppy Pink Sniffer

Quickstart

1. Open your Creative inventory and find the Poppy Pink Sniffer Spawn Egg in the Spawn Eggs tab (or find one wandering the Overworld naturally).
2. Use the spawn egg to place a Poppy Pink Sniffer in the world.
3. Hold a Poppy and interact with the Sniffer to tame it.
4. Once tamed, it becomes your permanent companion — it will not despawn and follows you loyally.

Overview

The Poppy Pink Sniffer is a friendly, giant pink variant of the vanilla Sniffer. It roams the Overworld like its ordinary counterpart, sniffing around for seeds and vegetation, but it stands out with its vivid pink coloring and enormous health pool. Tame one with a simple poppy and it becomes a loyal, nearly indestructible friend.

What It Adds

• Poppy Pink Sniffer — a passive mob that spawns naturally in Overworld biomes, behaving like a normal Sniffer (sniffing the ground, digging up seeds) but with a striking pink hue.
• Poppy Pink Sniffer Spawn Egg — lets you spawn this creature directly, found in the Spawn Eggs creative tab.

How To Use

• Spawning: Use the spawn egg on any block to place a Poppy Pink Sniffer. It can also appear on its own while exploring the Overworld.
• Taming: Approach the Sniffer holding a Poppy and interact with it (right-click / use item on it). This consumes the poppy (unless you're in Creative mode) and permanently bonds the Sniffer to you.
• Confirmation: A short taming sound and visual effect play when the bond succeeds.
• After taming: The Sniffer will no longer despawn, staying in the world as a persistent companion. It keeps its normal Sniffer behaviors — walking around, sniffing the ground, and digging up ancient seeds.

Crafting And Obtaining

There is no crafting recipe for this mob — it is obtained by:

• Finding one spawned naturally in the Overworld, or
• Using the Poppy Pink Sniffer Spawn Egg from Creative mode.

Taming simply requires a single Poppy, a common flower found growing in plains and forest biomes.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Massive Health: The Poppy Pink Sniffer has an enormous health pool of 678 HP, making it extremely difficult to kill — a true unstoppable companion.
• Movement: Moves at a modest pace, similar to a regular Sniffer, with a generous follow range so it can keep up with you once tamed.
• Ownership: Only the player who feeds it the poppy becomes its recognized owner. Ownership is remembered even after leaving and returning to the world.
• Persistence: Tamed Poppy Pink Sniffers are protected from natural despawning, so they'll stick around indefinitely as long as they survive.

Progression And Strategy

• Because of its huge health total, a Poppy Pink Sniffer is nearly impossible for most early or mid-game threats to kill, making it a great long-term guardian or companion to keep near your base.
• Keep a poppy on hand whenever exploring — if you stumble across a wild Poppy Pink Sniffer, you can tame it on the spot.
• Since it retains normal Sniffer digging behavior, a tamed Poppy Pink Sniffer can still help you find ancient seeds while roaming with you.
