Podzol Overlord Gear

Quickstart

1. Find or harvest podzol blocks (found naturally in giant tree taiga biomes).
2. Open a crafting table and craft any piece of gear — all recipes use podzol and sticks.
3. Equip the full four-piece armor set (Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, Boots) to gain powerful persistent status effects.
4. Grab the Podzol Overlord Sword or Hammer and start swinging — or use/right-click the Hammer in the air to instantly summon allied Podzol Zombies.
5. Craft a Podzol Overlord Spear, hold it, and use/right-click to throw it at distant enemies for 999 damage.

Overview

Podzol Overlord Gear is a power-fantasy mod built around a single humble material: podzol. Every item in the mod is crafted exclusively from podzol blocks and sticks at a crafting table. The result is a full suite of near-indestructible armor, instant-mining tools, and devastating weapons that trivialize both combat and resource gathering — turning any survival world into an overlord's playground.

What It Adds

Armor

Each armor piece offers 999 protection points and 999,999 durability. All four pieces are enchantable.

Tools

All tools deal 100 damage and have 999,999 durability.

Entity

Podzol Zombie — A custom allied mob with 999 health and 999 melee damage that aggressively hunts all hostile mobs within 32 blocks. Drops 0–2 podzol on death. Can also be spawned manually with a Podzol Zombie Spawn Egg.

Abilities And Mechanics

Full Armor Set Bonus

Wearing all four Podzol Overlord armor pieces simultaneously grants the following effects continuously, refreshed every few seconds:

• Resistance V — Dramatically reduces all incoming damage
• Regeneration V — Rapid health recovery
• Strength — Boosted melee damage
• Haste — Faster mining and attack speed
• Speed — Increased movement speed
• Night Vision — Full visibility in the dark

The effects are invisible (no particles) and only active while the complete set is worn.

Podzol Overlord Sword

Swing at any mob to deal 999 damage. Effective against virtually every hostile entity in the game.

Podzol Overlord Spear

• Melee: Swing to deal 999 damage in close range.
• Ranged: Use/right-click to throw the spear forward. It fires as a fast projectile and applies 999 damage to the first valid entity it hits along its path. The spear is not stackable — carry multiples if you plan to throw frequently.

Podzol Overlord Hammer

• Melee swing: Hits the target for 999 damage and immediately spawns several Podzol Zombies around the struck enemy.
• Use (right-click in air or on a block): Spawns Podzol Zombies around the player without needing a target. Great for pre-emptively filling an area with allies before a fight.

Podzol Zombies

Summoned Podzol Zombies are fully allied to the player and will:

• Seek out and attack any hostile mob within 32 blocks.
• Deal 999 melee damage per hit.
• Additionally pulse scripted damage onto nearby hostiles every second, shredding groups of enemies.
• Survive enormous amounts of punishment with their 999 HP pool.

They eventually despawn naturally when they wander far enough from loaded chunks.

Repairing Gear

Every item in the mod can be repaired in an anvil using podzol blocks, fully restoring durability.

Crafting And Obtaining

All items are crafted at a crafting table using podzol (tagged as P) and sticks (tagged as S). Recipes unlock automatically when you pick up podzol.

Progression And Strategy

• First priority: Gather enough podzol to craft the full armor set. Put it on immediately — the six persistent buffs make everything else far safer.
• Early combat: Use the Sword for reliable one-tap kills on any threat.
• Ranged threats or crowds: Switch to the Spear to pick off dangerous mobs at range before they close in.
• Army playstyle: Carry the Hammer. Right-click before engaging a dungeon or stronghold to flood the area with Podzol Zombies, then let your 999-HP army do the work while you mop up survivors.
• Mining: Bring all four tools. The Pickaxe tears through everything from stone to obsidian instantly; the Shovel clears terrain at the same speed. There is no block that will slow you down.
• Repairing: If a tool somehow loses durability from extended use, a single podzol block in an anvil restores it completely.
• Podzol supply: Podzol Zombies drop 0–2 podzol on death, so your summoned army can help sustain your crafting material supply over time.
