Piglin Trader

Quickstart

1. Enter the Nether and look for a Piglin Trader. It can spawn naturally on the ground throughout Nether biomes.
2. In Creative mode, open the Spawn Eggs tab and select the Piglin Trader spawn egg. Use it on the ground to summon one.
3. With commands enabled, summon one with: /summon piglin-trader-pfgdkoy3:piglin_trader_pfgdkoy3
4. Approach the trader and use the interact button on it, usually right-click, to open its trading screen.
5. Bring Nether materials such as gold, Nether wart, blackstone, and gold nuggets to exchange for useful Nether goods.

Overview

The Piglin Trader is a peaceful Nether merchant with a villager-like appearance and piglin sounds. It wanders around, seeks shelter, and offers a selection of Nether resources and rare items.

It is not hostile toward players, making it useful to keep near a Nether base or travel route.

How To Use

Finding a Trader

Piglin Traders can appear naturally on the ground in Nether biomes. Natural spawn groups can contain between 1 and 6 traders.

Trading

Use the Piglin Trader to open its trade menu. Place the required item in the input slot, then take the offered item from the output slot.

Each offer has a limited number of uses before it becomes unavailable. The trade menu shows the current availability of each offer.

Keeping One Nearby

Piglin Traders follow villager-like behavior, including wandering and looking for shelter. A protected enclosure near your Nether base can make it easier to find and trade with one.

Crafting And Obtaining

There is no crafting recipe for the Piglin Trader or its spawn egg.

In Creative mode, the spawn egg is available in the Spawn Eggs item group. It can be used on the ground to create a Piglin Trader and stacks up to 64.

With commands enabled, use:

/summon piglin-trader-pfgdkoy3:piglin_trader_pfgdkoy3

Abilities And Mechanics

• Peaceful merchant: The Piglin Trader does not attack players.
• Nether resident: It naturally spawns throughout the Nether.

Progression And Strategy

• Bring several types of Nether materials so you can use whichever offers are available.
• Gold is especially versatile: gold ingots can be exchanged for Ender Pearls or Nether Quartz, while gold nuggets can be exchanged for Glowstone.
• Prioritize Ender Pearls for travel and Eye of Ender progression.
• Magma Cream is useful for fire-resistance potion brewing, while Crying Obsidian can help with Nether portal-related projects.
• Nether Quartz and Glowstone provide valuable building and lighting materials without requiring extensive mining.
• Locate a trader near a secure base or shelter so you can return to it safely while gathering more trade supplies.
