Phantom Bond Reaper

Quickstart

1. Craft the Phantom Bond Reaper scythe using the recipe below.
2. Equip it in your main hand (it can also sit in your off hand).
3. Attack mobs and players normally to trigger its combat effects — wither, armor-bypass strikes, timed crits, and shield breaks all trigger automatically as you fight.
4. Sprint and right-click to unleash Soul Reaper Rush, a short dash-attack that hits hard and has a cooldown.
5. Collect Player Heads and consume them with the Reaper to unlock its deeper Soul abilities: Phantom Phase, Bond of Life, and Reaper Status.

Overview

Phantom Bond Reaper is a single powerful weapon — a cyan-glowing soul scythe — built around aggressive melee combat, life-draining, and a progression system where killing players and consuming their heads unlocks stronger reaper abilities. It rewards active positioning, sprint attacks, and well-timed swings, while soul-locked abilities give long-term goals to chase.

What It Adds

• Phantom Bond Reaper — an epic-rarity scythe-type sword with high damage, heavy durability, and a full custom ability kit layered on top of normal sword combat.

Crafting And Obtaining

The scythe is made at a crafting table from powerful, hard-to-farm ingredients — fitting its status as an endgame weapon.

The weapon is durable (5000 uses) and can be repaired with Netherite Ingots or Nether Stars, with Nether Stars restoring far more durability. It can also be enchanted like a sword.

Abilities And Mechanics

Core Combat

• Wither on Hit — every hit has a chance to inflict Wither.
• Armor Bypass — a chance per hit to deal bonus true damage that ignores armor.
• Berserk — a chance on hit to enter a temporary berserk state, boosting your aggression for a short time.
• Execute — enemies below roughly six hearts become vulnerable to extra effects, including a blinding strike at close range.
• Timed Crits & Jump Crits — landing a hit after a properly readied swing, or while jumping, deals bonus critical damage.
• Shield Breaking — critical hits can shatter an enemy's raised shield.
• Soul Cleave / Soul Leech — close-range strikes can cleave for extra damage and heal you back over a short duration.

Soul Reaper Rush Sprint and right-click with the scythe equipped to dash forward and strike for heavy damage at short range. This attack has its own cooldown (a few seconds) separate from normal attacks, so use it as a burst finisher rather than your main combo.

Reaper Status When your health drops low (around five hearts or less), Reaper Status can activate, changing how you fight in desperate situations.

Phantom Phase An empowered state that lasts about 15 seconds with a longer cooldown afterward. While active, it extends your effective reach and grants a bonus "Soul Feed" window of extra power after it ends.

Bond of Life A ritual-style ability: land hits on players within a priming window to link a "bond." Once active, the bond lasts several minutes and connects you to the linked players. Failing to complete the bond triggers a longer penalty cooldown, while a successful bond ends with a shorter cooldown.

Progression And Strategy

Most advanced Reaper abilities start soul-locked. To unlock them:

1. Defeat players (or otherwise obtain Player Heads).
2. Use the Reaper to consume a Player Head, which unlocks the next locked soul ability (Execution, Reaper Status, Soul Status, or Phantom Phase, in order).
3. Each unlock is announced with a message telling you what's next and how many more heads you need.

Because every locked ability costs a Player Head, prioritize PvP encounters if you want to fully awaken the scythe. Once all locks are open, you gain access to the weapon's complete kit — dash strikes, phasing, bonding, and status abilities — turning it into a build-around centerpiece for aggressive melee playstyles.
