- Double-click (quickly click again) the staff to open the kill list menu and pick a mob whose form you want to take on.

- While transformed, right-click to unleash that mob's unique themed ability.
Overview
The Phantom Attribute Staff lets you absorb the "attributes" of mobs you defeat. Every creature you slay is added to a personal kill list stored on the staff. From that list you can choose a mob to mimic, temporarily taking on its stats and a unique combat ability themed after it. It's part weapon, part trophy log, part transformation tool — turning your hunting record into a growing set of powers.
What It Adds
- Mimic Attribute Staff — a rare, glowing melee weapon with high damage and durability, usable both as a sword and as the key to the mimicry system.
- Kill List — an in-game menu (opened by double-clicking the staff) that tracks mobs you've killed, up to many dozens of entries, letting you revisit and pick from your past kills.
- Mimic Transformation — the ability to adopt the health, damage, and name of a previously slain mob.
- Themed Mob Abilities — unique special attacks tied to categories of mobs (skeletons, blazes, spiders, creepers, zombies, and more).
How To Use
- Attacking: The staff swings and stabs like a heavy spear-style weapon, dealing solid melee damage.
- Opening the Kill List: Double-click (rapid successive right-click/use) the staff to bring up a menu listing mobs you've killed. Select one to prepare it for mimicry.
- Transforming: Sneak + right-click while holding the staff to transform into your selected mob's form, or to revert back to your normal self if already transformed.
- Using a Mimicked Ability: While transformed, right-click to unleash that mob's themed special attack. Abilities have a cooldown, shown as a HUD message ("Cooldown Xs" or "Ability Ready") so you know when you can strike again.
Themed Abilities By Mob Family
| Mob Family | Ability Name |
|---|
| Skeleton, Stray, Pillager | Toothpick Volley |
| Blaze, Ghast, Warden | Gullet Fireball |
| Spider, Cave Spider, Bee | Sticky Venom Bite |
| Creeper | Trap-Chest Blast |
| Zombie, Drowned, Husk | Gnawing Slam |
| Any other mob | Maw Force Wave |
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the Mimic Attribute Staff using rare, high-value materials at a crafting table:
The staff can be repaired using Ender Pearls, restoring a portion of its durability.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Durability: The staff takes damage as you use it and can eventually break, so keep it repaired with Ender Pearls.
- Enchanting: The staff can be enchanted like a sword.
- Transformed Stats: When mimicking a mob, your health and damage output shift to reflect the health and damage of the mob you chose, and your name display changes accordingly. Reverting restores your original name and stats.
- Cooldowns: Each themed ability has a cooldown period before it can be used again — watch the on-screen message for readiness.
Progression And Strategy
- Hunt a variety of mobs early on to build up a diverse kill list — the more mob types you defeat, the more forms and abilities you'll have to choose from.
- Different mob families grant different tactical tools: ranged volleys, fire damage, poison-like bites, explosive bursts, or brute melee slams. Match your chosen mimic form to the fight ahead.
- Because transformations are temporary and tied to a cooldown-limited ability, plan your mimic choice around the encounter — pick a form suited to the threat you're facing before engaging.
- Keep Ender Pearls on hand to repair the staff during extended adventuring, since it is both your primary weapon and your gateway to every mimicked power.
