Palerillager

Quickstart

1. Open the Creative inventory and find the Palerillager spawn egg in the Spawn Eggs tab.

2. Use the spawn egg on the ground to summon one. The egg has a gray base with a purple pattern.

3. Move away and watch it acquire nearby players or villagers as targets.

4. Fight carefully: the Palerillager launches arrows from up to 20 blocks away.

5. To summon one directly, use:

   /summon palerillager-3cctfxri:palerillager_3cctfxri ~ ~ ~
   

   You can also obtain the spawn egg with:

   /give @s palerillager-3cctfxri:palerillager_3cctfxri_spawn_egg
   

Overview

The Palerillager is a hostile Overworld mob that hunts players and villagers with ranged arrow attacks. It roams independently, watches for nearby targets, and can make villages and other populated areas dangerous.

How To Use

Spawning

Palerillagers can appear naturally in Overworld biomes as monster mobs. Natural groups contain 1–6 Palerillagers.

For immediate testing, use the spawn egg on any suitable block or run the summon command from the Quickstart section.

Fighting

Keep cover nearby when approaching a Palerillager. It can attack targets within 20 blocks and fires repeatedly, approximately once every two seconds. Closing the distance quickly or attacking from beyond its firing range can reduce the time it has to shoot.

Protecting Villagers

Palerillagers actively target villagers, so keep them away from exposed village paths and buildings. Walls, enclosed homes, and other solid cover can help protect villagers from incoming arrows.

Abilities And Mechanics

The Palerillager launches arrows directly at its target and does not rely on a player-provided bow or ammunition. It can swim and wander through the Overworld when it has no target.

Progression And Strategy

• Early game: Avoid open areas if a Palerillager is nearby. Its arrows can make basic exploration and village visits hazardous.
• Against one Palerillager: Use solid blocks for cover, then approach during openings between shots.
• Against groups: Separate the mobs instead of fighting several archers in the open.
• Around villages: Secure villagers indoors and illuminate or defend the surrounding area before allowing villagers to roam.
• For testing: Spawn a single Palerillager in an arena, then increase the number to six to practice handling groups of ranged enemies.
